Ends With End - A Poem About Friends

I am your best friend

Your unbiological sister

The family that I chose

So when someone causes you tears

I have my shovel ready

When someone scares you

I have my fist ready

Only I am allowed to scare you, silly

When a boy hurts you

I am ready to beat the manhood out of them

When you have a terrible idea

I say, "Okay, what time?"

When you are wasting your time

It is always with me

And when you are laughing

It is probably at the cost of my poor dignity

You are the stars in my night sky

The clouds of the day

The leaves if my tree

Just like them

You fade away

You pass

You fall

And when I cry

It is because you aren't there to cry with me

And I realize

Nothing is permanent

And friend

Ends with end
