Theodoro Magdadaro, is a high school friend of mine. We were inseparable back in the old days. We were partners in crime. We were almost lovers... until he decided to transfer school.

I couldn't deny the sparks, okay? I was so sure that it was there. So sure to the point that I gave meaning to his sweet little gestures. I was so heartbroken when he didn't even say goodbye to me in person. He video called me after four hours of his disappearance. Telling me that he can't see me again because he's going to stay in America. For good. He promised me that we'll video call everyday. But, promises are meant to be broken.

At first he's consistent on video calling me. But, as months pass, wala na.

"How are you?" Napatingin ako sa lalaking kasama ko maglakad sa pasilyo ng mall. I beam at him.

"You don't know how happy I am that we met there Theodoro!" I excitedly said, completely enthusiastic. I mean, come on, he just saved me there! I didn't even dare look at him when we pass their table.

"Stop calling me that, Anne." He groan in embarrassment. Hinilamos nito ang palad sa kanyang mukha.

I laugh at him. Ayaw na ayaw niya talagang tinatawag sa full name niya. Naalala ko tuloy si Holi. Like him, that girl doesn't want to be called by her full name too.

Napailing-iling ito tsaka tumingin sa unahan. Completely focusing ahead. Kinuha ko itong opurtunidad upang matignan ang pinagbago niya.

His feautures are more defined now, unlike before. Hindi na siya iyong sweet Theo na naalala ko, physically. Now, he's hot and handsome. Pinakiramdaman ko ang sarili. Kinapa ang damdamin. Ngunit nabigo ako nang walang mahagilap.

I waited for my heart to beat fast, but it didn't happen.

"Aw!" Daing ko nang mabangga ang isang pader, napaatras ako dahil sa impact. Taranta niya akong nilapitan at inalo.

"Are you okay?" Nag-aalala nitong tanong. I glared at him in response. "Do I look like one?" Sarkastiko kong tanong.

Agad niya akong iginiya sa basement kung saan nakapark ang kotse niya habang pinapangaralan ako.

"Ba't ba kasi hindi mo tinignan ang dinadaanan mo Anne? You're not a kid anymore,for pete's sake. What if we were on an escalator, huh? Mas malala pa natamo mo kung ganun?" Natigil siya nang marating namin ang kotse niya. He clench his jaw at bumuntong hininga. He opened the door for me tsaka ako maingat na iginiya sa loob upang makaupo.

I smiled at myself secretly. Well, I guess he's still the sweet Theo that I know, inside of course.

Umikot ito papuntang driver seat. "Seat belt , Anne." Paalala nito sa akin na agad ko namang sinunod.

"For your information, I was checking you out." Paliwanag ko sa nangyari sa akin. He stop mid way turning the engine on. He slouch on his seat at sinapo ang ulo.

"Damn it." I heard him mutter under his breath. After a few minutes, he drove me to a nearby clinic.
