Harut and Marut

This is a story in which different scholars of Islam have different interpretations. All of these explanations point to one conclusion, that necromancy is 'fitna' (Devil's work); it will abolish your faith and your belief in Allah (SWT). This leads to the greatest and unpardonable sin 'Shirq'. Always seek protection from Allah (SWT).

A group of scholars was interpreted that there is nothing revealed on two angels, there were two kings at Babylon Harut and Marut. Some these scholars said that, these kings were Suleiman and Dawood. According to another interpretation from a group of Islamic scholars, that before the Qur'an was revealed on Prophet Muhammad (SAW) the Jinn have the ability to get on the top of each other (they can climb over each other) to reach the heaven and they were able to steals the speeches, they heard from 'Malaik'( inhabitants of Heavens).

Once the Qur'an was revealed, they were prevented to do so, because Qur'an was send to Muhammad (SAW) as a complete guidance from Allah (SWT). Allah (SWT) said: we beautified the lower heaves of this world with lamps (stars, comments and suns etc.) and we made them meteor to destroy the Shiateen (Minions of devil).

After the revelation of Qur'an on Muhammad (SAW), the Shiateen finds that the meteors are begins to fall them. The Iblis said that something is altered in duniya (earth). Shaiteen then initiate there search for this change; they travel all over the world to find what has altered; when they came to Makkah they find that Muhammad (SAW) was reading the Book of Allah (SWT) ~ Al Qur'an .

This is it; this is what has happened, said Iblis. But before all this, the Jinn have ability to steal statements they heard from "malaik" in the heaven, this was the time of Suleiman (AS). Everything Jinn heard from the statements, they bring it back on the earth.

Those Jinn begins there search for necromancer (black magicians) on earth, and started to meet them. They told them what they heard from "malaik". With these statements Jinn which told necromancer, the people who meet them they started to spread the word that these Jinn and Necromancer have knowledge of unknown "Ilam E Ghaib".

During all these activities the Necromancer and Jinn begins to write everything; means they documented what they know in forms of books, what they practice and there methodologies, they make books of all these things so they can preserve it for future use or transfer these to another generation or continue their legacy. These books are filled with dark art or black magic or necromancy etc.

When Suleiman (AS) discovered about these entire thing that is spreading within the public; he warned the people that anyone who says or believe that Jinn or Necromancer have knowledge of Unknown "Ilam E Ghaib", I am going to take action against him or her. So he took those books and buried them under his chair "the throne of Suleiman (AS)".

Suleman (AS) said to his people: I have been taught the speech of the birds; and i have been given with everything; Suleiman (AS) was the king, he had the kingdom that no one will ever have in mankind; he had the corporation of malaik, from Gibrail and Meekail. He had reigning over the jinn.

After the death of Suleiman (AS) Shaiteen came to Babylon again; they begin to search for the books; they found that everything was buried under the throne of Suleiman (AS); they dug out these books. These are the same books that Suleiman warned about that do not read, do not follow these book, these were misguide you from of Allah(SWT), these books lead you to path of "shirq" (worshiping other than Allah).

When Shaiteen find these books, they said to people that Suleiman's great kingdom, his supremacy over jinn, animals and malaik was because of these books, this is the source from which Suleiman acquire his powers . Suleiman have the power of magic, that why he buried these books under his throne.

The deception of Shaiteen worked and people begins to read those books, they follow things what Shaiteen told them after reading from these books. Shaiteen taught necromancy to the people and what was revealed on the two angels of Babylon Harut and Marut.

The last group of scholars came to the conclusion that; Harut and Marut were sent to Babylon by Allah (SWT), and they have the knowledge of magic. When people finds out about them, they begin to meet them and their sole purpose was to learn this knowledge from these angels Harut and Marut.

Harut and Marut gave them the strong warning that, we are the test from Allah (SWT), do not learn these things from us, because this is "Fitnah". Allah (SWT) wanted this to be a test of you "the mankind" you shouldn't learn it. With this knowledge you became disbeliever from Allah.

A division of Jew learned this knowledge, practiced it, and it was transferred through generation to generation in them from secret orders; society or communities of these "Al Yahood" (Israelite); the part of this magic still exists today. Whatever you heard or saw about practical magic or necromancy is actually a part of this knowledge.

Allah (SWT) told us about one type of magic that, Allah says: they learned from these angels, what can cause separation between man and his wife; and it would cause hatred in the hearts of husband and wife, it make the relation intolerable and eventually it will leads to divorce.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said that: this thing (necromancy) is "shirq". Every night Iblis sits on this throne he sends Shaiteen to earth to cause "Fitna". When they came back, Iblis ask one them what did you do on earth, Shaiteen reply's, I made man to commit murder; other one said i cause fight between brother and sister; and so on.

These were all of the simple things for Iblis,another one said that I because a man divorced his wife and right know theywere angry on each other; Iblis ask what they are annoyed about? why they areangry on each other? The minion answered, at nothing; this is the magic, thatwas what Harut and Marut taught people.
