Matt X Aquaphobic! Reader

::Matt's Pov::

I pulled F/N behind me.

"Matt, are we there yet?" F/N asked, touching her blindfold.

"Almost, I promise." I answered running onto the sand with her.

"M-Matt? Why does it smell like there's water out here?" She quizzed.

"Because..." I pulled off her blindfold. "...we're at the beach!"

F/N froze, her breathing hitched. Then all of a sudden, she started screaming. Everyone directed their attention to us. I waved my arms at her and tried to shush her.

"Shh sh shhh!" I panicked, turning her around.

She was shaking like mad in my arms. I hugged her tightly and brushed back her hair.

"F/N please calm down, people are staring." I told her.

She breathed heavily and caught her breath.

"Are you scared of something here?" I questioned.

She nodded.

"Water. I have aquaphobia(autocorrect: I'm aquatic. Me: Well that would be something now wouldn't it?).

"Oh, sorry. I wanted our 2 month anniversary to be special but I guess I ruined it." My face fell.

"Oh no Matt. It's my fault, I didn't tell you. The blame is on me." She rested her head on my chest.

I sighed and kissed her forehead.

"Well, I'm still sorry." I apologized. "Just remember, I love you and I won't EVER do anything to intentionally hurt or terrify you."

She smiled and grabbed my hand.

"I love you too." She closed her eyes.

Literally me before picking this story: 'Okay, which one of these has the shortest story plot?' For HeRoOfHoPe. I feel stupid that it took me this long to see that it said Hero Of Hope and not HE-RO-OF-HO-PE. And yeah this was late but it's close enough.
