"Sonic I-"
I was cut off by a loud clap of thunder causing Sonic to jump. I wrapped my arms around his neck to keep him from dropping me down the stairs.
"Sorry..." Sonic mumbled as he walked down the stairs with me in his arms.
"You just want this storm to be over huh?" I asked Sonic. He nodded.
"I haven't been outside in twenty-four hours." He said smiling down at me. "Now what were you saying?" Asked Sonic.
"Oh it was nothing..." I said quietly. Sonic frowned.
"I'm not going to put you down until you tell me." He said.
"You wouldn't wait that long. You're to impatient." I said crossing my arms.
"I have time." He said.
He carried me around for an hour then asked if I would tell him. I shook my head.
Two hours.
Three hours.
Finally he got impatient.
"Oh come on Jet! I've waited three hours will you just tell me already! Please I'll do anything... I just want to know!" He finally said.
"Anything?" I asked.
"Anything." He said I stared up into those emerald green eyes and took a deep breath.
"Do you Sonic the Hedgehog solemnly swear you'll do anything?" I asked.
"Yes...?" He said sounding a bit skeptic.
"Okay then two things..."
"What?"
"Don't laugh..." I sighed looking away from him "and don't kick me out if you hate me. Just not right now cause ya know... Storm."
"I promise." Said Sonic.
"Here goes nothing." I thought.
"Sonic," I paused not knowing really how to do this. A million things were racing through my head.
What if he liked me too? What if he hates me? We're those texts real? Is sonic gay? I hope he is.
In the end it just came out real fast.
"I like you. I like you a lot. Dammit Sonic I've had a crush on you since I first met you! Every time I look into your eyes I remember why. Do you know how hard it's been for the last day I've spent here? I just want to hug you and cuddle you but I can't... I'm sorry I just..." I didn't know where I was going with that.
I looked up at Sonic and he seemed to be thinking. A cocky grin spread across his muzzle.
"Jet are you for real? Because... I like you too!" He said happily.
"R-Really?" I asked.
"Yeah!" He looked down at my blushing face. "I've always wanted to say something but Tails' is the only one that knows I'm gay... So I wasn't sure what anyone else would think..."
He almost sounded nervous. Sonic seemed so open about his emotions right now. He looked down at me.
Before I knew what was happening his lips were on mine. I felt a tingling running through me as I kissed back wrapping my arms around him.
Sonic was gay and that was good enough for me. But what will they others think...?
