Thump. Thump. Thump.

Could her feet not be more quiet? As her bare feet hit the stone of the castle the sound echoed around her, easily drawing attention to her. She could not hide when she was making this much noise. She quietly slipped into an old classroom, ducking behind the teachers desk just incase someone were to look in this room. She stayed in that position for an hour and a half. While she was in her painful position she failed to recognise and take in her surroundings, instead she kept focusing on her own heartbeat, the only sign that she was still alive. Her black hair fell over her face, resulting in hiding her more.

After the hour and a half was up she slowly rose to her feet and quietly slipped out of the room. This time she crept along, sticking to the shadows. She walked quietly back to the gryffindor common room, meaning her footsteps could barely be heard.

She whispered the password to the fat lady, who opened the door to the common room in her sleep. Adrianna slipped into the room and looked around, checking that it was empty.

Her heart almost stopped as she saw the figure of Remus Lupin.

But her heart rate returned to normal when she realised that he was asleep. She slowly and quietly made her way to the girls stairs, scared to wake him up. When she reached the stairs she climbed up them quietly. But the tap tap tap of her feet echoed around the silent common room. She whipped around and saw Remus Lupin begin to stir. She climbed up the stairs, forgetting to be quiet in her need to get away.

By the time Remus had fully woken up and turned around to the noise she was gone.
