The story takes place after Korra and Asami return from the spirit world from their friendly visit to the spirit world. Korra's hair has grown lots and is ready to return to her avatar duties; Asami feels attracted to Korra but she knows Korra doesn't feel the same way back..; Mako is on duty to protect Prince Wu whilst in Bo Sing Se as he deals with some ''royalty business'' and Opal has moved in with Bolin but Opal is heading up to the Northen Air Temple to try to find some more air benders, what a cute couple :)
ASAMI'S POV
Korra and I decided to end our vacation and return to Republic City where we are needed most. ''What a week'' Korra states, her ocean blue eyes staring at the sky. ''Well I had a great time'' I smile. ''Me too, oh boy I wonder what the press is gonna think of my leave of absence she murmurs under her breath. I rest my hand on her shoulder ''He'll understand'' I say reassuringly. She continues to gaze at the stars... ''Is something bothering you Korra? I'm right here if you need to talk about anything.'' '' Everything is just fine.'' she coldly said as she turned her head away. We continued walking. Korra cried silently and tried to hide her face, Asami not noticing.

MAKO'S POV
I'd just finished my duties with the prince after a long, painful 3 months. I really don't know how I'm still sane right now but all I know is I'm finally so happy to be able to go back home to Republic City. Once I arrived home I began to start unpacking and when I was done I went to go Bolins. When I was walking down the street I saw two oddly familiar figures approach me. '' KORRA, ASAMI!'' ''It's so great to see you again Mako, how was your oh so ''joyful'' time with the prince?'' Asami sarcastically states sarcastically. ''Awful but Lin said she didn't need me anymore as Wu would be protected by his new elite security force'' I reply. '' Well that's great!'' Asami said. Just behind her I could see Korra not engaged in the conversation at all and she hadn't spoken a word since I first saw her. ''So um- how was your time in the spirit portal?'' I ask trying to change the subject to somewhat get Korra involved but she seemed to be in her own kind of world just staring at the ground, Asami began to notice her behaviour as well. '' Well the spirits were so beautiful, it was the most magnificent thing I've ever seen, right Korra?'' Korra looks up slightly and looks back down. ''Well um- I'm heading over to Bolins right now, wanna tag along?'' ''That would be great,'' Asami says. And so we all headed over to Bolin's home. ''Whats up with her?'' I whisper to Asami. ''Beats me, she's been acting strange ever since we got back''

''Hey Bro!'' I say as Bolin turns and see's us all. "OMG hey guys'' says Bolin ''Hows everything been?'' ''Great! How about you Bo?'' Asami replies ''Yeah same, so tell me everything that's been happening.'' Asami told Bolin about the spirit world but then suddenly Korra walks off; Bolin and Asami don't seem to notice he was talking to Asami from across the room. my guts told me something was up so I followed her...

She was about to leave but then I put my hand on her shoulder. '' Is everything alright Korra?'' She stood there and didn't say a word but instead just stared at the ground.

I grabbed her by the shoulders, shook her and demanded ''KORRA IF SOMETHINGS WRONG JUST TELL US ALREADY I'M SICK OF PLAYING THESE GAMES SO JUST TELL US IF SOMETHINGS BOTHERING YOU!'' Oh god what have I done I should have handled that situation so differently instead of violently. She began to cry, tears falling down her cheeks. ''Oh, Korra I'm so sorry I-'' ''No Ma- M- Mako it's not your fault it's me, it's all me...

''I've been acting so stubborn and rude and I've been just been so stressed. I can't handle anything right because I'm so stup- Before she could finish she felt the warm lips of the fire bender boy meet hers. They pulled apart and they couldn't help blushing.
KORRA'S POV
He wiped my tears off my cheeks and kissed me again, I didn't want this to end. Mako went back to tell Bolin and Asami that we were leaving and he dropped me off back at the Air temple. ''So what was wrong Korra?'' He questioned ''I um- well I''I couldn't find the words to continue ''Can we speak about this later please?'' I said painting on a fake smile'' ''Ok, goodbye Korra'' he spoke as he kissed me once more on my temple then drove off into the distance.
