In his own reality
he can be as he wants to be.
He wears make up and a dress,
his name is no more longer Jess.
He is Jessie, the girl of his dreams -
nothing is just how it seems.
His family and friends still don't know,
because he's too afraid to show.

In her own reality
she can be like you and me.
She doesn't need the wheel chair there -
she runs and feels the wind in her hair.
She can discover every spot of the world
and isn't treated as a handicapped girl.
She goes on adventures with her best friend -
but only till the book she reads will end.

In my own reality
I am absolutely free.
I dance in the rain all night and day
till all the pain is washed away.
While this I sing and laugh and scream,
hope and breathe and smile and dream.
I close my eyes and all I see
aren't the lies but the truly me.

But in our real reality
we are only you and me.
Trying to escape from life,
trying all to feel alive.
We leave our problems way behind,
'cause we want happiness to find.
Because we need to find a way
to bear this life day-to-day.
