A silent child imprisoned with thoughts
Was the young child enjoying life?
In a way, yes
Was she happy with her decisions?
Definitely
Did she have company?
Absolutely
So, what was the problem
What was with the sad, sad expression?

The young child wore a mask of envy
Envious towards her friends
She tried her very best
To abstain from such
Vulgar feelings
But failed

One of her friends was popular
She yearned to be like her
So she worked, worked
And worked some more
But others did not see her effort
They still thought she was not good enough
They only focused on her friend and some others
That was all

Slowly, when her envy got the better of her,
The young child decided to do something regrettable
But first, she had to find her friend

The child knew that this would sever the bond forever but her judgement was clouded
Her mind was filled with haze, suffocating haze

And there she was,
Her little friend with pigtails
But something was amiss
Was that sobbing the child heard?

Indeed it was
Upon closer inspection, her little friend was uncontrollably sobbing and spilling her problems to no one in particular

It turned out...

Her friend sobbed about being overwork
Her friend sobbed about others wanting to harm her because of her popularity
Her friend sobbed about not getting enough leisure time

But what shocked her the most, was
Her friend sobbed about not having ample time to spend time with companions
Especially her

Suddenly, the haze of judgement started to clear
It gradually started to become more clear
However, the young child was still envious
It would take a while for her to change
But nonetheless,
The young child
Opened her eyes
And started becoming a better friend
By seeking professional help
