Hello

I looked around,

But every face I saw was a blur.

I tried to speak,

But apparently silence is what my mouth prefers.

All i wanted was to hide in the nearest corner.

My heart was pounding.

My legs were shaking.

Maybe it won't be so bad to be a loner…

That's it! There's no way

That I'll keep trying to be social.

New friends are overrated anyway.

Aren't they?

My heart felt like crying.

I feel like for so long

I've been trying

To get out my comfort zone.

And then you showed up.

You said hi to me.

Did you know that

That two-letter word

Meant everything to me?

We talked for a little while,

But soon you had to go.

Thanks for everything.

Thanks for coming over.

Thanks for saying hello.
