chapter seven

-Finn's POV-

i was just about to fall asleep... i saw a notification pop up on my screen. i turned around and ignored it. a few seconds later i see my phone's screen light up from the corner of my eye.

i get up and grab my phone. 6 new messages from a group chat? i jump back to bed while reading the messages

Jaeden added you, Chosen, Sophia and 4 others

Jaeden:

Sophia:
What is this?

Jaeden:
just a group chat

Chosen:
No shit sherlock

Wyatt:

Jeremy:
Wtf is this?

Finn:
hi?

Jaeden:

Sophia:

wow 4 minutes into chatting and we're already at the Jyatt point

Jaeden:

Jaeden:
Finn and i we're planning on going to a party tomorrow. you guys wanna come too?

Wyatt:

Finn:

we were?

Jeremy:
i'll be there!

wait where exactly?

Chosen:

Finn:

i don't remember talking about that but sure i'll come!

Sophia:
a party? well obviously i'm coming.

Jack:
hmm i don't know

Jaeden:
oh cmon

Wyatt:
Jack you have to come!

Sophia:

something seems off

Jaeden:
what do you mean?

Sophia:
Finn didn't send a message.

Wyatt:
yeah did he leave?

Jaeden:
if we're talking about Jack, Finn is always there

Jeremy:
super weird..

Jack:
not our number one problem right now..

Jaeden:
then what is?

Jack:
uhh..

Jack:

um who's gonna drive? that's a.. a big problem you see

Sophia:

oh i see

Jaeden:

so we'll leave around 8pm tomorrow

the next day

-Jack's POV-

ugh... the party.. we're leaving in about 20 minutes... i don't know if i want to go to be honest... i've been kind of avoiding Finn these past few days... but i'm just going to try to have a good time. it'll be ok. i hear a knock on my door. "come in" i yell. the door opens and i see Sophia standing there. "it's time to go." she says while texting with someone."already?" i ask.
"yes, get your ass downstairs.

Sophia closes the door and i quickly changed my clothes. i went with a black sweater and jeans. i could not look more like a fuckboy. as i was walking downstairs i was feeling nervous... why am i feeling nervous? they're my friends... i've seen them like 10944875092746059734 times. i walked downstairs and saw everyone waiting for me. "Sorry" i said quietly. we're all walking towards the car and i notice Finn walking in front of me. this was a bad idea i say in my head.

i just hope it wont be awkward...

"Guys we're gonna have to take the bus." Jaeden said.

"what? why-"

"don't ask why." Jaeden interrupted Sophia.
we all sit down. we we're all trying to sit in the seats in the back of the bus but there weren't enough seats so Finn sat in another seat that was pretty close. Wyatt accidentally pushes me towards the seat next to Finn. it already looked like i was going to sit there so i decided to just sit down and not make it awkward. well it might be more awkward now. we turned to eachother and smiled awkwardly and looked away. he asked me something about what we're filming next. we started talking and quickly the awkwardness went away. i was just happy to be with my best friend. it felt like i just reunited with my best friend from like 100 years. it didn't feel like it used to feel when i was talking to him. this is different.
