comfortable

i have never been so comfortable around someone as i am with you
and i'm not just saying that because it's sweet or whatever
i'm saying it because it's true
and that's kind of a big deal to me
i'll tell you all about my past someday, who knows maybe even today (it was today)
i want you to know
i want you to know all the ugly parts of me and everything i'm not proud of
i want you to know all of this and understand that i'm still so comfortable with you
and that blows my freakin mind!!!!!
i don't mind when your eyes wander, travelling my whole body

i don't feel ashamed or self-conscious
i just feel
comfortable
when your hands run over my stomach, i don't shy away or flinch
i'm comforted by the warmth
you kissed my scars and didn't tell me not to ever hurt myself again
i'd like to think because you know i won't
i didn't have to worry about if my people, cat, or even family would like you
they took one look at me and saw how happy i was around you, how comfortable i was able to be and understood
i am comfortable around you
and i love that
