----Flashback----
I walk inside my house only to be met with the hard hand of my step-father.

I fall to the ground clutching my now stinging cheek.

"You're late you stupid bitch!" He yells. "Make dinner NOW!"

He kicks me in my side before walking out the front door.

I lay there crying. Once I finally get up and make dinner, I rush upstairs to avoid seeing him.

I here the front door swing open. Before he arrived I packed a small bag with my clothes and other essentials in it like water, food, and pocket money. I only had 40 dollars, it wasn't much.

The sound of breaking glass rings throughout the house as my step-fathers footsteps come up the stairs, closer and closer to my room.

He breaks down the door more drunk than ever. He throws an empty wine bottle at me, glass shatters into my skin. I look up at him. He was smirking as he walked away.

I clean my cuts and other deep wounds. I listen to make sure he was asleep before opening the window and jumping out.

I run far away from my so-called-home hopefully never to see it again.

I stop to catch a breath at an empty street. I run pass the local park. I keep running and running until I tripped and sprained my ankle.

I was at least three miles from home, maybe more. I was in a small town. I looked to my right, an alley.

I know what your thinking. "It's in every horror movie, don't go into the alley". Well when you're not in my situation (homeless and poor). Then start saying that.

I walk into the alley and crawl into a big box. It was big enough to fit three of me's in here.

As soon as my head is set down I fall into a deep sleep.

I awake to the sound of voices outside the box. I pick through the side and see three men talking. One was throwing a gun in the air.

My breathing hitches and my eyes widen. Don't let me die yet, I pray. I try and breath slower but couldn't accomplish.

When they finally left I crawl out and try to stand up but fall down due to my sprained ankle.

Was it sprained or broken? I ask myself. I find a stick to lean against and start to move around until I fall again on the sidewalk next to a busy street. I put on my red beanie and lean against the stores window. A loud motor sounds and break me away from my thoughts.

I look left to see a a motorcycle speeding my way. I came to a stop in front of me.

The guy takes off his helmet. He was cute. He had black hair and blue eyes. He had a cigarette in his mouth but threw it down and put it out.

"What's a young girl like you doing here?"He asks with worry in his voice

Why does he care he literally just met me. I glare at him for a bit before answering.

"I ran away from my home."

He tilts his head to the side a little he smiles.

"Why?"

"My step-dad, he was abusive. I wasn't going to stay with him. I'd rather live on the street then with him."

His smile quickly fades. I see him bite his lip as he looks down at the ground before getting off and ripping off a piece of paper and digging through his wallet. He walks over to me and kneels down handing me a piece of paper and 20 dollars. Before I could thank him, he was on his bike and driving away.

I know this chapter isn't very long but I promise it will get longer later on.
