I had gotten off the train, it was early evening. I walked into my apartment and turned on the television, deciding to check what was on when I was finished changing into my pajama's.

My phone started ringing, I looked at the caller ID to see that it was Vanessa, answering it after two seconds,

"Hey V,"

"Hey Reece! You home?"

"Yeah, why? You want to come over? Maybe Netflex and chill forever and ever?" I smirk while I wait for her response,

"Ya' nasty!" She laughs, "stop trying to get into my pants forever and ever!"

"I'm just kidding! I like men okay." I responded with a roll of my eyes,

"Sure, that's why you talking like this."

"Just hurry up and bring your independence with you!"

"Bring it? Girl I am it."

"Fool." She laughed.

"Idiot." She replied,

"I'm hanging up."

"Ree-" I hung up...

She's going to be mad when she gets here.

I thought with a smile.

Vanessa is my best friend, we've been best friends for years and I love her to itty bitty bits. She's like my sister.

I went to the kitchen to get all the snacks that we're going to stuff our faces with while watching Empire on Fox. I absolutely love the show, Cookie Lyon is where my heart lies.

After a 30 minutes Vanessa arrives and our chill session began.
