11. New home

Let's get started.

I went home and walked towards Dan's room. It was dark inside. I knocked but there was no response.

I entered the room and switched on the lights. I saw Dan sitting on the floor. He looked pale and his cheeks were wet from crying. I ran towards him.

"I am sorry Ele. I am really sorry." He said and he held both my hands tightly with his.

"What happened?" I asked.

"I don't know how to tell you but, Lucy killed your dad. I understand that you don't want to be my sister." He said.

Dad?

Oh no! I didn't told him about dad.

"I will never ever stop being your sister. I love you Dan. And you have to come with me, now." I said and dragged him to my car.

"Where are we going?" He asked as he looked at me confusingly.

"You'll know it soon." I said and drove to Dad's house.

I stopped the car infront of his house.

"Come" I said and held his hands.

I rang the doorbell. As soon as the door opened Lidia was there.

"Hey Ele." She greeted.

"Where is he?" I asked as I looked into her eyes. She understood me.

"In his living room." She said and smiled at me.

I pulled him to the living room.

"If you're going to give me to some murderer I totally understand. But where are we?" Dan asked.

"Follow me" I said with a straight face.

"Dad" I called. He turned and gave me a smile.

"Ele" he said.

I hugged him.

"Dad I missed you" I said.

"How're you little munchkin? I was so worried about you." He said with a concerned look on his face.

I remember how he used to call me munchkin when I was a little girl.

"How? I mean Lucy- you're alive?" Dan asked. He looked shocked and really confused.

"Yes, take a seat. I'll explain." Dad said.

Dan sat on the couch as Dad told him everything.

"And you both are moving here soon. But please don't inform Lucy." He said as he gave us a reassuring look.

"How can I move into this house?" he said nervously.

He was not able to find words to express how shocked he was.

"You used to call me Dad right? " He said and gave him a smile.

Tears came out from his eyes. I hugged him.

Next day was Sunday which means holiday. We went home and packed our things. I took all my things- my clothes makeup box, books, diary and many more and then Dan drove us to our new home.

We went inside.

"This is your room honey." Dad said.

I went inside and opened the closet. It was big. I moved my hand through all the clothes. I saw jewelries and shoes.

"I was confused. So I bought everything. I didn't knew your choice. Is it okay?" He asked.

"Dad it's a bit too much." I said nervously. This must have cost a fortune.

"I'm your Dad. It's the least I could do to spoil my daughter." He said with a smile.

"Thank you!" I said with a smile.

"Get ready and come down. We will have breakfast together." He said and went out of my room.

I went to the bathroom. It was really big. I took a shower and dried my hair and then wore a white top and black shorts.

I went downstairs. I saw Dad, Dan and Scott.

"Dad" I said and kissed his cheeks.

"What's up!"I said to Dan and sat next to him.

"Honey, I didn't knew you had a boyfriend." Dad said.

Dan coughed.

"Scott is not my boyfriend" I said.

"That's not what it seems like." Dad said as he looked at me with a questioning look.

There was a awkward silence in the dining table.

Peanut butter bread, custard, toast, omelet and cranberry juice.

I hated peanut butter. So I took the normal butter.

After we completed our breakfast we all stood up. Dad and Dan walked away busy talking about business and then Scott came and hugged me from behind.

"Let's go on a date." He asked as he gave me a smile.

"Sure" I said and pulled him into a hug.

Oh my god!

I totally forgot.

23 missed calls from Anne.

I called her and told her to meet me at a cafeteria.

"Your dad is alive?" She shouted.

"Shh, yes he's alive." I said.

It took me an hour to explain her everything.

"Okay I understand. But you're not going to ditch your best friend again." She said pouting at me.

"Okay I am so sorry. Now tell me how was it?" I asked.

"He asked me to be his girlfriend." She said and smiled at me.

I jumped on her and hugged her.

"I am so happy for you." I shouted.

"Did you kissed?" I asked.

"No. I know you haven't got your first kiss yet." She said as she looked at me with an interrogating look on her face.

I looked at my lap and played with my bracelet.

"You did, who is the one? Who gave you your first kiss?" She asked.

"Scott" I said.

"When?" She asked controlling her excitement.

"At the camp." I said.

"Why didn't you tell me? My ship sailed." She said.

"Scott and Ele under a tree. K I S S I N G." She sang.

"Shh keep quiet girl." I said.

Everyone was looking at us. I felt so embarrassed.

We ate pizza and I was full now.

"Hello ladies." I heard a voice.

"Hey!" I said.

Did I introduced you to Ryder? With the looks of a model, he is the biggest prankster of Jessbrook high.

"Want a ride home?" He asked and smirked at us.

Anne can be embarrassing sometimes.
