The others gave you your space, knowing you would stab them if they came near. Bilbo was allowed near you because he knew what not to say. You were angry and uncomfortable. Your corset seemed tighter than usual. You asked Balin to loosen it. He gave you a weird look. You two spoke for a while, but no one heard you. You made it to shore and walked for what seemed forever. You finally made it to where you could see Dale. Well, it's ruins anyways.
Bilbo asked where Gandalf was, but he seemed to have left you all. Bilbo looked confused. You patted his back as you walked past him. He followed. You all search until you find where the door should be. Bilbo finds it. You all climb up. Thorin has his little triumphant speech but you are too mad at him to listen. Everyone cheers. Dwalin looks for the keyhole as the last light of Durins day hits the side if the mountain. Nothing was happening. The light was slowly slipping away. Everyone began to panic. You sat back and watched. The sun set. Thorin looked at the scroll again. Reading it to see if he had read it wrong. Everyone looked at him, confused. He looked up just as confused. You all look down and shake your heads.
"What did we miss?"
Thorin whispers. Balin begins to leave, so do the others. You sit with bilbo standing at your side.
"What a minute. What?" Bilbo looked at them confused as they walked away. "Where are they going? You can't give up now!" Thorin drops the key.
"Thorin." Bilbo says as Thorin walks bye handing him the scroll. "You can't give up now."
You sat there as bilbo tried to figure you what they missed. He was talking to himself, but he kept whispering.

At the last light

He looked up to the sky, you look as well. The clouds moved and the moon showed bright. You both hear clicking. You look back at the door to see a bird hitting the side of the mountain. The light of the moon slowly showed the key hole. You both smiled and laughed in disbelief.
"The keyhole" he yelled. He ran to the edge of the mountain ledge you were on. "Come back, come back. It's the last light of the moon! The last moon of autumn!" You both laughed.
"The key. Where's the key" you both look for it frantically. As you spot it bilbo kicks it.
"No!" You yell as you jump for it. It is just out of arms reach, but a foot is brought down on it just in time. You look up to see Thorin. He gets down grabs the key and sticks out his arm to help you up. You take it and he pulls you both up.
"I'm still mad at you" you say
"Stubborn. Just like your sister was." He smiles at you and walks past you to unlock the door. He puts the key in and turns it. He pushed the door open. Everyone stands there in awe.
"Erebor" Thorin whispers.
Balin fights back tears. Thorin pats him on the back. Thorin slowly walks in. You all follow. You and bilbo last. Bilbo asks what the Arkenstone is.
You smile and Thorin says,
"That, master burglar, is why you are here."
You all look at him and he looks very nervous, but still agreed to go. You wished him good luck and Balin shower him the way.

Much later you heard loud banging and the earth shook.
"Was that an earthquake?" Someone asked.
"That, my lad. Was a dragon." Balin answered
"Bilbo." You whisper

Fili P.O.V.
Kili was on Bards table. He was in a large amount of pain. Not having Ledia with me to help me comfort him awful. She would know what to do.
"Can you not do something?" I asked.
"I need herbs. Something to bring down his feaver." Oin said to me.
Bard was saying what he had from the other room. Kili was yelling. It pained me to see him like this.
Bofur heard what was needed. Seemed to know where to get some, pointed at Kili and said, "don't move." And ran out. I looked at Oin and shrugged.

Later. The ground shook. Kili yelled out in pain. Bards children spoke to him.
"Da?" The oldest girl said
"It came from the mountain." Said Bain.
I walked toward Bard.
"You should leave us. Take your children and get out of here."
Bard looked at me and answered.
"And go where? There is no where to go."
"Are we going to die da?" The youngest one stepped forward and said.
"No darling"
"The dragon, it's going to kill us." She said with her voice shaking.
Bard looked at his three children and reached up. He grabbed what we thought was a bar, but it was the last black arrow that could kill Smaug. With it in hand he said.
"Not if I kill it first"
He walked out and Bain followed.

Your P.O.V. (Ledia)"Give him more time" Thorin said.
"Time to do what. Get killed?"Balin asked.
"You're afraid" Thorin said
"Yes, I am afraid. I fear for you."
"You're crazy" you say to Thorin.
"What did you say to me?"
Thorin turns to you and steps to you. You stand your ground.
"You heard me. You are crazy like your grandfather. You are greedy, and it's going to be the end of you. Just like your grandfather, and father." He took another step towards you.
"I will not risk this quest for the life of some burglar."
"Bilbo." Balin said.
"His name is bilbo," you say to Thorin stepping towards him.
"And this quest wouldn't have happened if we didn't have bilbo. He is the reason you will get your throne back." He steps back, taken aback at you gain in confidence. You keep walking towards him as he continues to walk back. "So you better get in there and save your friend or so help me I will drag you down there myself." My eyes burned with anger. I never felt such power in my life.
"And that," Balin said breaking the tension, "is why she will be a wise, feared, and loved queen." Thorin gave you a hug and ran in to help the hobbit.

Fili's P.O.V.
Time passed. Kili only got worse.
"Where is Bofur?" I asked. The older girl went outside to see if her father was back. We heard walking on the roof. Then the girl scream. She flew though the door. Orcs began to come in. I fought back, protecting Bards daughters. They were Ledia's friends after all. But there were to many. Just as the orcs were about to get the girls, The she elf came though the door. She began to kill the orcs. Legolas came though the roof, and began to kill orcs also. An Orc got to Kili. I was preoccupied protecting Bards children. The orcs that we didn't kill ran out. Legolas went to leave but the she elf hesitated. Then walked to the door. She stopped and looked back at Kili.
Just as she began to leave, Bofur came with the herbs. I knew elves were known for their healing. She began to yell orders at us. She was going to save my brother.
