After Alexander dies he has to go through 7 trials. Each trial is created by one of the seven deadly sins. All he has to do is forgive himself for whatever each one makes him guilty about. The catch is that they all take the forms of people he actually knew in life. It starts easy, with Lust taking the form of Maria Reynolds. It gets harder as it goes on and gives him things that are harder to forgive himself for. The last one is Wrath, taking the form of Eliza after she found out about the affair
