Chapter 4: The Devil Arrives

~Cole's POV

I walked into Lloyd's room and he seemed to really have cleaned his room.

"Hey Lloyd, did you clean you're room just for tonight?" I asked.

"Yeah I always like to have my room organized when someone other than Kai stays in here"

"Ohh okay"

"Anyways Cole, we have to share a bed because there is only my bed in here" He said.

I tried to hold myself in. I did NOT and I repeat NOT want to sleep next to Lloyd because god for bid if Kai somehow got into this room it wouldn't be good... Trust. Me.

"Um okay" I said.

Lloyd got into his bed and I decided to just lay with him. One night can't hurt and Jay should be doing a good job at distracting Kai.

~Jay's POV

"KAI I NEED SOME PEANUTS RIGHT NOW!!"

Kai peered out the door to the bathroom.

"Peanuts? Really Jay just go find them in the cabinet i'm sure their somewhere in there"

"I KNOW I LOOKED AND I COULDN'T FIND THEM CAN YOU HELP?" I screamed.

"Okay well hurry up I don't want to keep Lloyd waiting."

I grabbed onto Kai's arm and bolted into the kitchen. Kai let go of my room and started to dig through the cabinet.

"Jay, I don't see them in here anywhere are you sure nobody ate the last of the peanuts?"

"YES BECAUSE MY NAME WAS WRITTEN ON IT!"

~Kai's POV

"YES BECAUSE MY NAME WAS WRITTEN ON IT!"

I shook my head. Jay always likes to label food ever since people start eating his food without looking at the label. I find it funny sometimes.

"Well, can't you have something else to eat?" I suggested.

"NO I WANT MY PEANUTS!!!!" Jay screamed.

Sigh. Well I was ready to go to bed but I started to prepare myself for a long night.

"Okay Jay, I'll just go to the store and buy you some more peanuts." I said

"YAY THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!"

I smirked and started to walk to the store.

~Cole's POV

It was midnight now and I was over exhausted because I couldn't sleep. I was panicking and thinking the same questions in my head over and over again. What if Kai somehow comes in here? What if it damages the team? What if that MYSTERIOUS THING TRIED TO KILL ME!?!?!?

All of a sudden I heard a loud bang that shook the floor.

"LLOYD!?" I screamed.

"IT'S HERE AGAIN" Lloyd panicked.

I didn't know what to do except take in everything that was happening. I was scared to death of being in that room.

"WHAT IS HAPPENING?" I said.

Lloyd's bed began to float up, and I saw a spark of fire shoot at the ceiling

I looked up to see a shadowy figure holding that spark of fire. Then the figure vanished.

"OMG WHAT WAS THAT?!?" Lloyd screamed.

"Lloyd, I think that was Kai. Nobody else has the elemental power of fire." I said.

"NO IT CAN'T BE KAI IT JUST CAN BE" Lloyd screamed powering his fist on his bed.

As much as I wanted to be there for Lloyd, I had to see if Kai was here

"Lloyd hang in there for a minute buddy, I have to see if Kai is here" I said.

I dashed down the hallway from Lloyd's room and ran into Jay

"JAY" I screamed.

"OMG COLE WATCH OUT FOR MY EARDRUMS!" Jay yelled.

"SORRY BUT I HAVE A SERIOUS QUESTION" I said.

"WHY ARE WE SCREAMING" Jay asked.

"Jay. Where is Kai" I said frantic.

"Oh he's not here at the moment" Jay said.

"WELL WHERE IS HE!?!?!?" I asked.

"At the store buying me peanuts" Jay said.

I rolled my eyes.

"Jay really? Peanuts that was your best excuse?" I said.

"WELL I WAS IN A RUSH THINKING OF IDEAS!" He whined.

"Okay so when Kai walks in that door then he should have a bag of peanuts"

"YES!" Jay said.

I sat on the couch with Jay and we waited for Kai.

Moments later he finally came back. But with no peanuts.

"WHERE ARE MY PEANUTS KAI!?!?" Jay yelled.

"Oh I couldn't get them, I had to take care of some business" Kai said.

I wanted to die right then and there. Kai couldn't have really done this....
