Your heart could not actually move to your throat but Hayley felt like it could. "Hope!" she called out. Her baby did not respond. No one responded. Hayley ran down the stairs and out to the street. No Hope. The street was empty. Too empty. There should be someone—anyone—anyone who could tell Hayley that they'd seen her daughter, or the person who took her child.

Hayley forced herself to walk to her car and get inside. She started to pull her keys out to put it in the ignition when she remembered that she was still holding something in her right hand. "Damn it!" she shouted, hanging on the steering wheel with hot tears running down her cheeks. "Damn it!" she shouted, again. "Where in the hell is my daughter?"

No one answered her and Hayley sat the pink bunny down in the passenger seat. Hope would want her toy back. Calming down, Hayley inhaled and then shoved her key into the ignition, shifted the gear and hit the gas. She could not concentrate on her way back to the Mikaelson's but she made it there in one piece.

Climbing out of the car, Hayley ran to the front door and opened it with her key. Kol still sat on the couch. "Hayley!" he greeted her, looking up from whatever he'd been watching. His smile froze in place when he saw the look on her face.

"Where is she?" Kol demanded, standing up and turning to face Hayley.

"I don't know!" Hayley screamed, her entire body began to shake with barely contained fury. "Someone took my baby, Kol!"

"Calm down!" Kol cried, coming to stand in front of her. "Where was she?"

"In my old apartment. By the door! I didn't leave it open. I... I wouldn't have done that. Someone must have... I didn't hear a knock. How in the hell did this happen? Where is she?" Hayley felt panic beginning to creep in. All she wanted to do was find the person who took her child and kill them but she would have to find them first.

"Right. Let's go," Kol stormed over to the door, jerking it open. "I'll call Nik. He'll meet us." Pulling out his phone, Kol started to dial a number when Hayley grabbed his arm.

"No! You're not calling Klaus. He'll try to take her from me. Again!" Hayley snapped at Kol.

Kol frowned. "Fine. Do you have a better idea?" he demanded, his eyes glowing with malice.

Kol's expression reassured Hayley that he would help her do what it took to get her daughter back. She knew what Kol would do for family and she needed someone who would rip someone to pieces by her side. "You'll do anything to get Hope back home?" she questioned him.

"Yes." Kol nodded.

"Good. Then let's go find my daughter," Hayley walked out into the night and Kol followed her.

"I have an idea of someone who will be able to help us find Hope," Kol informed her as he sat in the passenger side of the car.

"Fine," Hayley snapped.

Hayley followed Kol's instructions to a new building and they got out of the car. Kol walked slightly ahead of Hayley. He seemed familiar with the building and led her through the front door like he owned the place. Walking to the elevators, he hit a button and they waited for less than a minute. "Don't talk," Kol warned her.

Hayley glared at him but did not utter a word. When they stepped off the elevator, they found a man at the door. The man stood, his arms folded over his chest. "We need to see Lucien," Kol told the man.

The man sneered at Kol. "Got an appointment?" he asked Kol.

"Here is your appointment," Hayley said, walking over to the man and kneeing him in the groin.

"Bitch!" the man cried out, trying to straighten up.

Kol's elbow went down on the back of the man's head and Hayley might have flinched at the sound of bone on bone but she was too worried about her kid to care. A smirk appeared on Kol's face before he walked over to the double doors and ripped them open. "Lucien!" he yelled. "You have company, darling!"
