Tek

When I woke up it was before sunrise,

I watched the sunrise after a couple hours before glancing at Sam, she was still asleep on her bed.

Taking out a book and quill I wrote her a note;

Sam,
I'll be back in a few days at most. I need to test something but I trust you'll be safe. Just, try not to get hurt.

I put the note on her chest before grabbing some supplies and heading out, there's a desert village on the outskirts of the forest.

It was still morning when I got there,

"Tek! Long time no see!" Carlos, one of the farmers called out

I waved at all the villagers as they greeted me.

"Hey Tek, there's another player on the outskirts of town. She's a strange one though" Carlos tells me

"Hmm, where at?" I ask

"Last I saw she was heading towards Dov Tunnel" he answers

Dov Tunnel is the home of the dragon that tortures these lands, I've never been strong enough to face it though.

As I head towards Dov Tunnel I pick up a strange scent. It smells slightly like one of the wolves that constantly attack things around our base.

The mouth of the cave in coated in the smell, 'They either have a pet wolf or are like me a hybrid' I think

Starting down the tunnel I notice it's not lit up at all, towards the end there's a hole in the wall leading to the Dov's den.

I head straight in just in time to see a strange Wolf-like girl watch in horror as the Dovah takes its last breathe.

After burning herself on the strange golden gem she picks up the bones and items it left, so I go pick up the gem and wrap it in a piece of cloth.

When I turn towards her she is watching me closely. I hold out the gem for her which she takes.

"Howdy! I'm Wolf!" She says suddenly friendly

"I'm Tek, nice to meet you" I shake her hand

After a few minutes of quiet chat we started to leave the tunnel in silence.

"So what brings you to this desert?" I ask conversationally

"I don't know, I had plans for today but I just completely disregarded them and found myself here" she explained

After a few more minutes of silence we were almost back to the village when I decided to ask her something.

"So, why do you feel the need to put up a facade?" I feel her stiffen at this

"How'd you know?" She asks growling dropping the act entirely

"Your aura, being a dragon hybrid I can read it better then a normal hybrid. Yours is dark, like you just beginning to turn dark" I explain shrugging

Our eyes meet for a minute before we both nod acknowledging each other as equals before turning to leave. She headed towards the opposite forest then my base is and I headed back to the village.

I decide to do some farming around the village because I had to wait till tonight to do my tests.

Whatever...
