"How was ag.?" Anna asked. She was waiting outside for me.

"Anna!" Cole called. Anna turned to see her brother.

"Huh?"

"Do we have math homework?"

"Yes. I told you this."

"Oops. Thanks, I'll do it during Spanish." Anna rolled her eyes.

"I signed up to show a goat for the FFA." I told her.

"Really?"

"You sound surprised."

"I am. Harry, I never though of you as an agriculture girl."

"Well, Cole was mocking me. I can do this."

"Cole was mocking you?"

"Yeah. He doesn't like me."

"He likes you." I shock my head.

"Is there a block schedule here?" I asked. Anna nodded.

"We had that at my old school." We walked out to the front, I saw Anna's friends.

"We have 7th period every day, except Mondays." Anna told me, before Lesly dragged her away. I sat near them and checked my phone.

"Will you like a smoke?" someone asked

"Will you like a smoke?" someone asked. I looked up to see Joseph Brown.

"I'm afraid the campus is tobacco free."

"So was church."

"You learn and you live."

"May I now get your name?"

"I never knew I was so interesting."

"You're the most interesting thing to hit this town."

"To bad you don't know my name."

"That could change easily."

"Joseph!" Meredith called.

"You are being called."

"We aren't done talking." He walked off and smiled. Two girls tapped me on my shoulders. I turned around.

"Can I help you?"

"Who are you to talk to Meredith's boy?" one asked.

"Who is Meredith?" I questioned.

"Joseph's girlfriend." the first one answered with a sneer.

"If she is bothered than me, tell her to tell me myself." I told them and walked away. I bumped into a girl. She wore a gray newsboys cap, her black hair was in a fishtail, she wore a light blue dress, and leather boots.

"I'm sorry." she apologized. I detected a faint Southern accent.

"Aren't you Harry Grimm? Anna's cousin." she said.

"And you are?" I inferred.

"Rory." she answered. She put her hand out for me to shake. I shook it.

"Like in 'Gilmore Girls'?"

"I suppose. My full name is Laura."

"Why do you go by a nickname?"

"Why do you?" Her quick nature, was something I haven't seen in this town before.

"Are you from here."

"No, I was born in Texas."

"Texas?"

"Yes. I lived there until I was five. My parents got a divorce when I was four and then Mom met my stepdad. She moved up here with him, she brought me and my brother. Dad travels for his job, so it was no big deal."

"Oh."

"Yes. Now, if you can excuse me I best be off."

"Where are you going?"

"To class." I ran to catch up with her.

"I want to be you friend."

"That's blunt."

"I don't many and you seem more my pace."

"Your pace?"

"Yes."

"What does that mean?"

"You act like your not from Montana."

"Because I am not."

"I don't mean to come off as desperate, but will you be my friend?" Rory laughed.

"Sure. How good are you with answering questions?"

"Answering questions?"

"Sure. If you are my friend, you can help me with my club."

"Club?"

"The journalist club. We're sponsored by ASB, we have a team of four other people."

"Who?"

"Your cousin Anna is one." The bell rang.

"We better be going, or we are really going to be late." Rory told me.

" Rory told me
