what would you have done

"Yixing, what's happened?"

Even though the gentle question came in their first language so that even if others overheard them, they wouldn't know what they were saying, Yixing was less than keen to discuss the situation. In fact, he was unsure of what to do with himself, unsure of what to say to you, unsure of how he should feel about Sunhee.

"Yixing," Luhan pressed. "Come on, answer me, man."

Yixing shrugged, head cast down as he drew in the sand abstract shapes, "I don't feel like talking."

"Well, I wasn't asking you if you felt like talking. What the hell happened between you and Yejin?"

"She's jealous, or... or maybe she isn't. Hell if I fucking know," Yixing muttered. There was a fair chance you were just jealous, but there was an equally fair chance Sunhee was actually just trying to make a move on him. And, he didn't know which way to look at the situation.

"Jealous? Explain, Yixing. You two fought about something. What was it?"

"I was out late with Sunhee. When I came back, Yejin was worried as to where I was, and she was upset I was out with Sunhee because I couldn't tell her; Sunhee had taken me to a small hill near here to show me the stars, but promised me not to mention it to anyone because it was her favorite private place of peace."

Luhan snorted, "I can understand why Yejin was upset with you, though. You practically went on a date with another girl, Yixing. You've got to be careful; I know you want to be nice and all, but you can't be too nice to other girls. They'll get the wrong message, even if it isn't what you intend."

"Thanks, Luhan. I feel so much better now," Yixing sarcastically hissed, digging his fingers into the sand.

"Listen, why don't you and I and the other guys go out tonight? Eunseo said she would stay home with Yejin."

A moment of silence passed, but eventually Yixing sighed, "Okay."

When Eunseo cautiously greeted you in the late evening, you wanted to pretend as if you had been unaffected by the fight with Yixing and had not been crying. Your red, puffy eyes and stuffed up nose definitely told a different story, and you knew Eunseo was aware of your pathetic state the second she looked at you.

"Oh, Yejin," she sighed. "Are you okay?"

You had no chance to enter as another girl barged into your room, juggling shot glasses and a glass bottle of a clear liquid that was definitely not water.

"So! Who's ready to get drunk?!"

Even though you hated Sunhee with a passion, and she was the very reason for your emotional torment, the sound of getting shitfaced sounded pretty okay with you. The last time you had drank, you hardly remembered much, and that was almost exactly what you wanted right now. You were just going to ignore the fact you would most likely end up bent over a toilet bowl again.

"I'm definitely ready."

Eunseoo looked shocked at your bold agreement, but Sunhee grinned and set the bottle and shot glasses on the coffee table. There were just enough seats for all of you to sit around it, and you flicked on the television, but left it at low volume.

Sunhee wasted no time in pouring your first shot, and you grimaced at the burning alcohol sliding down your throat. Even then, you slammed your shot glass down and nodded for her to pour you another one.

"Yejin—"

"Come on, Eunseo. Have a little fun!"

"Yeah, Eunseo! Here," Sunhee joined in, sliding a full shot glass to the other girl.
