I had just closed down the shop for a quick lunch break when I got a call from Kia. I just ignored it and hopped into my G-Wagon starting it up. I wasnt in for hearin Kia's mouth right now cuz all she finna do is be shoutin at me cuz I'm 10 minutes late for our lil lunch date.

When I arrived at our meeting place, I spotted her sitting in a booth with her legs crossed like she been waitin there for a year.

"Finally Ley" she exclaimed once she saw me. "Feel like i been waitin for a year, i was just about ta eat your burger" she said making me roll my eyes and smack her hand, cuz this bitch was reachin ova the table tryin ta touch my burger.

"Dont touch my shit girl" i said laughing and restin my bag and phone on the table.

"Where Harls aint she have a break from school today" she asked taking a french fry from my plate and eating it.

"Yeah...i dropped her off at Nikki, her babysitter"

"Why didnt you let Quavo take her today" she asked with her eyebrows raised in curiousity.

"Cuz he probably at the studio today" i said glaring at her cuz she kept taking my french fries.

"Mmhmm" she mumbled popping the fry into her mouth.

"Anyway" i rolled my eyes.
"I want you to help me start planning Harley's birthday party"

"Aight" she shrugged putting her arms in her lap.

"Ok...well i wanted a bouncing castle in the back yard for her and her friends to bounce around in, and also a pinata filled with candies and chocolates" i paused waiting for her to reply.

"Sounds cool and you should probably do a lil photobooth just to make her party memorable "

"Ok thanks" i said writing down some ideas on a lil notepad i had brought.

"Should we do cupcakes or a cake"

"Cupcakes" she answered.

"Aight...i'll see if i can order some decorations and other stuff on Saturday" i said puttin the notepad back into my bag so I could finish up my burger.

"Hailey...when was the last time you talked to your dad" Kia asked catchin me off guard.

"Uhmm" i paused.
"Ion kno...i cant remember" i answered groaning because I really didnt feel like talking about him and our lil situation. After I got pregnant with Harley, my dad became a lil distant. He would rarely call to check up on me and he stopped sending money to my account. He changed the locks to our family home and took the car, that i used to get to and from work. Our relationship got really bad to the point where I told him that he could forget about ever seeing Harley again. Yeah, ik i was wrong for that, but he treated me like shit and I learnt "do onto others as you would have them do unto you"

"Well.. i think you should invite him to Harley's party" she suggested making me shake my head in disagreement.

"Nope"
"I am not inviting him" i said crossing my arms over my chest.

"Cmon Hailey... he hasn't seen his granddaughter in years"

"Idc" i said bluntly.

"You dont think Harley deserves to see him"

"Think about Harls...fuck yall lil disagreement"
"Im sure this would make Harley happy" she said pleading with me.

"Ill think about it K"
"But no promises" i sighed checking the time.

"You wanna get some starbucks or something, I got 10 minutes before i gatta get back to the salon"

"Aight" Kia replied as we grabbed up our belongings, heading out of the cafe.
