It was afternoon and the kids were awake and playing outside. "Come on! I was kidding!" Peeta said. Iaughed. "Sorry, but no one messes with mommy." I said smiling. "Wish I knew that earlier." He mumbled. I laughed. "Hey mommy whats for dinner?" Forest asked. "Deer." I said. "You hunt without us?" He asked. "Yes, but it was really early so I didn't wake you up." I said. "Yeah so be happy Forest. She didn't go into the Forest with you!" She laughed. Forest stuck his tounge out at her. "Hey suck that thing back in." Peeta said. I laughed. "I'm done playing." Forest said. "Ok, well a good time to start dinner." I said. We all went inside and there was a knock at the door. "Now who?" I asked. I opened the door and it was my mom! "Mom!" I said. "Katniss!" She said back hugging me. "Come inside!" I said. "GRANDMA!" The kids shouted. "Hey you guys!" She said smiling. The door opened and Haymitch came in. "Haymitch?" I said. "What are you doing here?" I asked smiling. "Well your mom will tell you." He said smiling at my mom. "Oh yes. Lets sit down everyone." She said. We all sat, and Haymitch sat right by my mom. I beamed. "So Haymitch and I have uh chosen to be together." She said. My mouth dropped open. They beat me to it! "Oh my gosh!" I said smiling. "Wow." Peeta said. Everyone was silent and stared at Peeta. "What?" Peeta asked. "Aren't you happy for them?" I asked. "They beat us to it!" Peeta finally said. "Oh, ok good." I said relieved. "But Katniss, it's up to you." My mom said looking at me. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Do you want Haymitch to be your father?" she asked. There was no time to think. "Of course!" I said smiling. "Yay grandpa!" Willow yelled. We all laughed. "Grandpa?" Forest said confused. "Haymitch is our grandpa bird brain." Willow said. Now we all laughed at that. Even Forest.
