Chapter 5 Part 2: Hesitation

"Are you ready, sweetheart?" Rosalina asked softly towards Luigi. "Oh yeah!" Luigi bursted with excitement. "Mario and Peach are the only ones in the Mushroom Kingdom to visit the Metro Kingdom yet, well at least the new city..." Luigi explained. "Ah..." "New Donk City..." "It's funny how Pauline named it that after her previous kidnappings from the big D.K. Himself." Rosalina said laughing. "Yeah." "It's gonna be interesting seeing Pauline again." "I don't know how she feels towards me exactly." "She dated Mario for what seemed to be the longest time." "But as soon as he changed jobs to being a plumber, they split in like half a year." "Oh well, She is nice and apparently a great mayor!" Luigi said with expression. Rosalina and Luigi kissed before they both rushed into the car. Luigi started the car and it soon drove away in seconds.
"This will be a quite long drive, there's snacks in the backseats if you're hungry." Rosalina told Luigi. Luigi nodded while he drove past a speed bump. After quite awhile they arrived to the entrance of the Metro Kingdom. Luigi looked around and admired the beautiful city at night. "I can't even express how pretty this city looks!!!" Rosalina jumped with excitement. "Ugh, it sure does but where am I going to park?!" Luigi explained. "Open spot near the Crazy Cap shop!" Rosalina pointed out. "Thanks!" Luigi said as he turned left and passed the shop. Luigi finally parked and the couple got out the car. "Woah." "You didn't tell me there was going to be a festival here!" Luigi shockingly said. "Well..." "It was a surprise." "And Actually..." "There's gonna be an another extra big surprise there for you soon!" Rosalina stated with happiness. "Yay!" Luigi bursted with excitement. "Well hun, see you soon!" Rosalina waved and ran off. "Wait what?!" "Rosa, where are you heading?" Luigi said with a confused look. Luigi didn't mind, he knew something was going on and it had to involve her. It made Luigi excited. He didn't know exactly what the big surprise was but he didn't care, it was time to think about enjoying life with no worry! Luigi ran towards the middle of the city where there was a big crowd. Suddenly everything went silent as a mic sound echoed throughout the city. "Welcome everyone to the NDC Festival!" "Tonight is not going to be a normal one!" "We have a special guest singing for us tonight!" "Everyone..." "Give it up for Rosalina!!!" The announcer says as the crowd cheers loud. "Hello, everyone..." Rosalina walked up on stage and speaks into the mic. "I made a special song for a very special someone." "This is my first time ever doing something like this, so please enjoy for what it is." Rosalina states softly into the mic. "Well here's all I got..." Rosalina breathes in and breathes out. Music starts to play in the background as Rosalina starts to sing. The Crowd goes silent.

"We have to stay together

"Luigi belongs just to me!!!"
"He was what let my body set free!!!"

"I Said, Let's go down with no goal!!!"
Rosalina sang loudly from the bottom of her heart. Luigi was never so happy. He felt amazing considering someone just went through that for him! The Crowd all cheers as Rosalina repeats most of the song but louder. "Huh?" A Tall Man comes out of a shadow of a building. "She's singing this for me?" The Tall Man is none other than Waluigi... "She DID THIS FOR ME!!!" "I'm so happy!" "She IS Loyal!" Waluigi jumped up in the air before he starts to walk and arrive near the Crowd of cheering people. "Luigi, would you be so kind to come up on stage?" Rosalina cutely asks into the mic. Luigi walks up on stage and holds Rosalina's hand. "WAH?!" Waluigi runs towards the stage and freaks out. "This..." "WASN'T FOR ME?!" Waluigi gets outraged as he sees his rival holding his girlfriend's hand. "ROSALINA IS MINE!!!" Waluigi yells as loud as he can. His scream echoes throughout the city and everything goes quiet. Rosalina is shocked. Waluigi walks up on stage. "LUIGI..." "I'VE BEEN GONE FOR YEARS AND THIS IS WHAT I COME BACK TO SEE?!" "YOU'VE TAKEN MY PRECIOUS ROSALINA?!!?!?!" Waluigi rages out. "I... I... Um..." Rosalina couldn't say anything. She thought Waluigi would never be seen again and so she thought it would be fine to date Luigi. Rosalina saw so much in him that she couldn't bare to not date him. "Explain yourself, Rosa." Waluigi demands. "I..." "I thought I would never see you again." "I tried for a long year and gave up hope of ever seeing you again." "I'm sorry..." Rosalina tried to explain without stuttering. "Well..." "There's only one way to fix this then..." Waluigi says with a harsh tone. "Rosa." "Pick." Waluigi tells her. "Pick?!" "How would I ever do that?!" Rosalina explained. "Who do you love more?" "Me." "Or him?" Waluigi asked. Suddenly one of the lights that were shining on the stage bursts into a thousand pieces of glass. Some of the glass stabs Rosalina in the legs causing her to fall. Everyone freaks out. "What?!" "ROSALINA!" Luigi Yells out in confusion. "HEHEHE!!!" A voice is heard from above the two different Luigis. "Is she okay?!" Waluigi asks to Luigi. "I'm not sure!!!" Luigi starts to cry as he is so worried. "THIS WAS PROBABLY YOU'RE PLAN WASN'T IT?!" "YOU PLANNED TO HURT MY ROSA!!!" Waluigi Runs and hits Luigi off of Rosalina. "OUGHah!" "Listen!" "Waluigi, You may hate me but I promise this wasn't my doing!" "I love her as much as you do." "We have to work together." Luigi cried out. "And Why would I ever believe you?" Waluigi states. "HEHEHE!!!" All lights in the whole city turn off as a Shy Guy is seen dropping down on the stage. "Ha, such fools..." It was Jack... The Shy Guy that was hired by Daisy. "Who are you?!" Luigi confusingly yells out. "Yeah seriously." "Who do you think you are?!" Waluigi asks to Jack as well. "My Name is Jack, and that's all that I'll reveal." "I'm here for a reason, A reason that I won't tell you." "Hahaha..." Jack yells out in a sharp tone. "You monster..." " It was you who did this..." Waluigi says while slowly putting his fist in the air. The Shy Guy laughs before he jumps and gets away. Luigi kisses Rosalina on the lips in hope for her to wake up. "You..." "Dammit." "You think you can do that and get away with it specially after that guy just got away?" Waluigi angrily yells out while walking towards Luigi. Rosalina wakes up and tries to stand. "Wa—- Wal—- WALUIGI." Rosalina stutters. "What has happened to you?" Rosalina asks. "Luigi took you away from me." "I thought you were loyal, Rosa." "I love you more than anything." Waluigi states. "I can't handle this." "You didn't even try and help me when I fell down." "You wanted to just play the blame game instead." "I'm done with you Waluigi." "The resort to violence is too much." Rosalina tells Waluigi. Waluigi falls to the ground as he holds his heart and starts to cry. "What have I done?!" "I was only doing what my mind seemed best!" "WAHHH!!!" Waluigi cries out on the ground. "Are you okay Rosa?" Luigi asks her. "I'm not sure, I can barely think or walk right now." Rosalina responses. Luigi grabs her hand and walks her until they eventually get in the car and leave the some what broken down city. Waluigi sits and thinks of what to do. Being in the forest for so long must of had an impact on him. He lies on the stage like an animal playing dead. A light is seen turn on again on the stage. Jack shows back up. "Where is the girl?" Jack asks Waluigi. "I don't even know anymore..." Waluigi tells him while lying on the ground hopelessly. A helicopter shows up with Pauline inside. She shows up with a blue dress on in honor of Rosalina. "What the???" "What happened to my city?" Pauline questions and concerns. The helicopter goes down and the tall mayor runs up to the stage. Then suddenly the mayor drops down to the ground as Jack hits her and grabs her as if he was Donkey Kong. Jack runs off.

Next Day...

Waluigi wakes up still lying on the stage. "Wah?" Waluigi wakes up confused as he forgot everything from the previous night. He then started to remember little parts of it and makes a goal to find Rosalina.
