RISA'S POV

The intercom beeps, signaling somebody was waiting for us. Aoi slides to where the front door is and presses the gray plastic.

"This place is way too fancy for me." Rise's voice echoes through the penthouse. Aoi laughs and presses the green button beside the intercom which allows Rise to ride the elevator up.

Since the penthouse takes up the whole floor, the elevator just automatically goes into the living room.

Rise had mentioned over text the other day that she had a free day, so I jumped at the chance of being able to invite her over for a dinner.

The elevator doors open and Rise steps out, a gasp escaping her lips as she takes in her surroundings. Her eyes land on the spiral staircase to the side and then up. "You guys have a second floor too?" She says in disbelief.

With that, Aoi gives Rise a tour of our temporary living quarters in Korea while I continue to try and whip up some dishes.

Aoi brought Rise down after half an hour and Rise insisted on helping. She offered to teach us how to make some korean dishes, which she learned how to make from her members.

"How about bibimbap?" She asks.

I shrug. "As long as we have all the ingredients in the fridge."

Rise nods, heading towards the large fridge and opens it. "Are you kidding? How much food do you have in here?"

She starts taking out all of the contents and I stare at Aoi in disbelief. I knew she went shopping while I was at a modeling gig but I didn't know she went all out.

"How much did you buy?" I whisper to her. Aoi grins sheepishly and shrugs.

"It's the company card; might as well treat yourself to something nice."

Rise taught us how to make bibimbap and then we all sat down to eat it, along with all of the other dishes we made.

We talked a laughed and had a great time. I glanced at the spacious penthouse I was living in, my friends laughing, and the quick conversation I had with Yoongi through text messaging.

I felt content with everything.

While Yoongi read the mission card out loud, I scanned the small Japanese print underneath the Korean characters, reading the instructions to myself.

When we first entered the set, I already had a hunch of what we were doing given the cooking stations, shelves lined with vegetables and fruit, and the pots and pans at the back. My hunch was correct and we were indeed, going to cook something.

The instructions were pretty broad— just said to work together and cook a dish of some sort.

Yoongi sheepishly laughed. "So I don't really cook often," he says. "Jin's usually the one that cooks."

I was going to nod and say that I barely cooked too, but I remembered the bibimbap that I learned how to make from Rise the day before.

"How about bibimbap? I tried making it a few days ago and I think it turned out good."

Yoongi looked surprised at my suggestion but ultimately agreed. It wasn't like he knew how to cook anything better.

We started to work on the bibimbap according to my instructions, which might not have been the most accurate. I didn't remember a lot of what Rise had taught me so I winged it a little.

When we were done and we dug in at the dining table, I was satisfied with what the outcome was.

"It's pretty good," Yoongi said, impressed. I smiled and spooned a mouthful of the bibimbap into my mouth.

"I'm surprised myself," I say. We finish the bibimbap relatively quickly and once we were done, the crew thanked us for our hard work and told us that we were done.

I was surprised that we finished filming so early but it might have been because last time we were shooting the whole entire day.

I ignored the deep feeling of disappointment on not being able to talk more with Yoongi and instead replaced it with eagerness to get to the modeling shoot I had next, though I was fairly certain that the excitement I could muster as I waved goodbye to Yoongi and got into the car was fake.

YOONGI'S POV

i peeled the mask off of my face as soon as i entered the dormitory. mancy had greeted me at the front door, thinking i was miga and was quite disappointed to see that i was not.

she groaned and yelled to rise that i was here, sending one last glare to me, blaming me for not being miga and disappeared into her room.

it was funny to think that a year earlier, mancy would have freaked out about me being here. just shows that once you actually get to know the people you've been idolizing, you begin to see their imperfections.

rise comes out from her room and smiles at the sight of me.

i grin and step into the living room, enveloping her into a hug and resting my face on her hair.

"i have leftover bibimbap," rise says, pulling away. something fills my chest and i just nod. she knew that i came right away from the company; she knew that i hadn't eaten.

"i'll go heat it up then." she goes into the kitchen and i tail behind.

dezi's inside and she nods politely to me before getting up and retreating, sensing that we wanted privacy to talk.

rise gets the microwaveable container and rests it on the microwave, the machine whirring to life. she turns around.

"so how's the new comeback?" she asks.

i shrug. "it's mainly namjoon who's composing the song. for now, we're all mainly focused on the 'love yourself' reel."

rise perks up at that. "i heard that you're working with jungyeon," she says.

"where'd you hear that?" i ask. the microwave rings and rise takes out the bowl, grabbing a spoon and chopsticks before sliding it towards me. we both head to the coach as Wreath's dorm doesn't have a dining table.

"she's a trainee at sm. i'm not super close with her since i wasn't a trainee for long but news circulates fast down at the basement."

i dig into the bibimbap. "who made this? it's amazing," i say after one bite.

rise gives a relieved smile. "you like it? i wanted to try and make some korean dishes."

i nod, giving her a thumbs up. "it's delicious," i say with sincerity. rise blushes, not used to the compliment.

i take another bite of the bibimbap, savoring the flavor.

When Risa suggested to make bibimbap, I was surprised. When I tasted the bibimbap, I was even more surprised.

It tasted almost the same as Rise's. From the flavor of the sauce to the dishes put on top of the rice— it was all the same. And for some reason, I didn't like that.

I ate the bibimbap, it was good though I preferred Rise's. Perhaps I'm being too biased. Either way, Risa was happy that the bibimbap turned out good so I didn't ask her how she learned how to make it.

All I knew was that I had many memories with me going to Wreath's dorm and Rise heating up a bowl of bibimbap. And I'm not going let those warm memories be ruined just by the mere fact that other people— especially Risa of all people— could also make a similar bibimbap.

A/N: dhakfhudhdh i took the entrance exam for my first choice school yesterday and we only had 20 minutes to write an essay like wtf nobody finished
