I run inside, wanting to get to Loki before the others do.

"Is it over?" Loki groans, still lying on the floor.

"It is," I say helping him up. He breathes shallowly and nods. His eyes are now a dark green instead of their bright blue and despite the battering the Hulk gave him, he looks a lot healthier already. "I'll explain everything to them, it isn't right that they think of you as the bad guy."

"I did try to destroy the world," Loki points out, smiling slightly.

"Fair point," I reply. "Even so, they don't know the full story. You were just as much under Thanos' control as me and Barton were. They have to see that."

"There is no point, pet," he says softly. "Odin already views me as the villian, this will not help my case regardless of whether I was in control. You'd do best to forget me."

"There's the good man I was talking about," I say. "Don't forget that."

"And nor will I," Loki says. He looks over my shoulder and I realise the others must have arrived. "If it's all the same to you," he says to them, "I'll have that drink."
