Stuck with a Thug

Part 3

It's the next morning and I'm still at the hospital. I woke up at 8;30 from the sunlight beaming in my face. I yawned and  looked over next to me to find Darnell still resting his eyes. The room was clear. His boys knew that he was going to be okay and especially if he had me by his side so they figured they didn't need to stay. 

Darnell  eyes opened... 

"Darnell?? D??" I said "You woke?!!!" I asked 

I ran out of the room down to the desk letting them know that Darnell was now visible. 

I followed the Doctors back to the room and they took care of everything they had to take care of.

"B-b-baby?" He stuttered

"BABY" i replied with excitement 

"You b-b-been h-h-here with me the entire time?" He asked

"Yes baby. I stayed the night, I slept right beside you the entire time." I said

"I love you...." he said

Did he just say that to me? I never ever heard Darnell say that to me. I mean I know I loved him, but I wasn't for sure he loved me back.

"I love you too" 

London text me

London- Girl! I heard about Darnell last night, everything okay???

Me- Yeah. I been here with him, he's good. 

London- When does he get to leave?

Me- I'm not sure. Most likely not today. 

London- Okay sis. I love you baby!

Me- I love you to Lon. 

- Convo Ended - 

 I wrapped up my conversation with London and went to go cuddle up beside Darnell. I wasn't leaving this damn hospital until he left and that's just that. Whether it was me missing school or not. 

"Khalia" He said

"Yes baby?" I asked

"I'm glad you been here with me the entire time. forreal. that mean a whole lot to me you just don't know girl" He said 

Finally he was back speaking normal. That stuttering was killing me.

"Darnell, you will forever have me by your side. The day we started talking you should've knew that. I'm not going anywhere." I replied rubbing on his arm

"I hate you have to see me like this, Honestly." He said

"Shhh baby. Get you some rest okay?" I said

"Okay baby girl." 

Less than 10 minutes Darnell was knocked back out. I just smiled at him sleeping. I'm ready for my baby to go back to his old self.

Kel walked in the room.

"Bro still sleep?" He asked 

"He literally just went back to sleep" I said

"Damn" 

"So what happened? Why was he targeted?" I asked

"Ima tell you like this and like this only, you his bitch and you know that all of us hood meaning we done did some shit that I'll let him explain to you whenever he feel like he wanna tell you. Let's just say the streets ain't safe." He stated 

"I love him so much, I do, You know? But I didn't know shit was this deep." I said

"He hood. what you expect?" he asked

"Understood."

I didn't really understand. Hell I didn't even know what was really going on. At this point I was wondering if I was even safe myself.... sigh. I love Darnell though and now I know he loved me back. I couldn't let this stop us. 

After Kel left, I got bored out of my mind so I just turned on some T.V. and started watching "Power" This was one of my favorite damn shows. I swear.  

"Baby?" 

"Yes, I'm still right here beside you" i said looking at him

He started rubbing his hands down my thighs thru my pants. It felt good. 

"You don't know how good it feels to have you here by my side." He said 

"Aww baby." I said

"I know I keep saying it but that's just because you don't know." He said 

Before I could even get my words out, I sped to the bathroom to catch my vomit. Whoa. I was vomiting continuously. 

What the fuck was that.........

I hurried and cleaned myself after that, entering back into where Darnell was. 

"What's wrong?" He asked

"I'm not sure.." I replied 

But then I thought about the first time we had sex............

COULD I BE ? HOW COULD I BE ?HE JUST GOT SHOT. THIS IS TOO MUCH. I HOPE NOT! GRANDMA WILL BE DISAPPOINTED IN ME. I JUST DON'T KNOW.................

"Somebody must be getting sick." He said

"I guess you could say that." I said

"Come lay back up here with me." He said

I laid back next to him. and just closed my eyes for a second with my hand placed on my stomach. 

"You good Khalia?" He asked

"Yes. I'ma just get some sleep."

"That's probably a good idea baby.."  He said

We then rest both of our eyes...........

I know it's short but when I start creating better and more ideas it'll get longer.
