she said her eyes were dull and colorless
a dirty shade of brown
and wished for a shade of the ocean
in which her admirers would drown
little did she know

the darkness of the rain
held specks of sunlight shining through
the clouds of your pain
were the chocolate craving consuming you
the glance you could never quite meet
a endless hole of submersion
bringing you each time, to your knees.
