      “And he brought out the innoccence in me.” My cell mate, Chantrea, nods. Her white wings flap a bit and she seems to be thinking about something.

     She asks, “Why did you leave him?”

     I sneer, disgust filling me, “That monster inside him… it’s horrid.”

     Chantrea lunges for me and a fight breaks out. I swing a punch at her face, and she kicks me in the side. I dodge her kick, but earn a hit to my head. I hear Jays’ gentle voice. The cell door flies open and he pulls me away. His bright eyes lock onto mine and he holds my hand. Warmth floods through me and my palm tingles. I hug him suddenly, the wolf howling in triumph. I hear the echo across my heart. I lean on him further and realize that I’m finally home.
