Cyrus's Cousin (Jonah Beck Love Story)

First day

On the walk to school, Jonah for some reason is holding my hand.
"Nev we need to talk" Cyrus say and pulls me away from Jonah
"Why are you holding hands with Jonah" he asks
"I honestly don't know" I say
"Are you guys together" he asks and I blush
"No of course not why would yu say that hehehehe" I say nevously
"You like Jonah" Cyrus exclaims
"Shh I don't need the entire city hearing you" I say
"Nevys got a boyfriend" he says in a high pitched girl voice.
"Shut it Cyrus" I say "come on let's go"
Skip walk to school
I walk into the office with Cyrus.
"Um Mrs Garcia this is my cousin Neveah. She's new" Cyrus says
"Ahh yes here is your schedule and your locker number and combination have nice day dear" she says
"Okay " I say and walk out of the office. I look at my schedule
Timetable
Period 1: Art
Period 2: Math
Period 3:  Physical Education
Lunch
Period 4: Free period
Period 5: Home Economics
Period 6: Choir
Period 7: Drama
Alright my schedule isn't that bad.

I entered the Art room and went to the teachers desk.
"Hi I'm Neveah Goodman I'm new here" I say
"Yea you can go sit neck to Jonah Beck, Jonah raise your hand so she knows where you are" the teacher says
Jonah raises his hand even though I already know where he is.
"Hey Jonah" I say
"Hey Heaven" he says.
"Good morning class" the teacher says
"Good morning Mr. Brown" the class says in a low monotone.
"Today we have a new student. Neveah would you like to come up to tell us about yourself?" Mr. Brown says
"Umm Sure" I say and walk up to the front  the class.
"So my name is Neveah Goodman I'm 14 and I'm Cyrus's cousin" I say
"Anything you want the class to know about you" The teacher says
"I love animals and I'm gonna join the ultimate frizbee team" I say
"Alright take a seat Neaveh" Mr. Brown says. The rest if the morning pretty much went that way aswell.  Tell the teacher I'm new. Get seated tell the class about me. Then zone out for the rest of the class.

Lunch
I sit with Buffy Andi Cyrus and Jonah at lunch considering I have no friends except them. Jonah keeps putting his arm around me or grabbing my hand. Which I would either lean away from or pull my hand away. I know I like Jonah but I'm not ready for that kind of relationship yet. I just broke up with Gabe 2 weeks ago.
I'm so happy I have a free period next. Then my phone dings. A text from my bff back in Denver.
Text 
Sister from another mister: Gabe already moved on.

Me:seriously

Sister from another mister: yea look

Me:how do you know they aren't just friends

Sfam: cause people who are "just friends" wouldn't caption the picture "best girlfriend ever"

Me:😭😭 what the hell

Sfam: sorry I figure I'd tell you

Me:no it doesn't matter gtg to class

Sfam: bye bro

Me:bye
End of convo
I turn my phone of with tears in my eyes. I can't believe that gabe already moved on. Well this sucks. I decide to go outside to read for my free period. So I get up and run. I find a shaded tree outside and sit down. I pull out Percy Jackson the lighting thief and start reading.
"Heaven?" Jonah says I look up.
"Are you okay you ran of crying" he says. I open the conversation with my bff and hand him my phone.
"Oh my god" he says handing my phone back. "That's low"
"Yea I feel like such an idiot" I say and put my head in my hands.
"Hey your not an idiot " he says and wraps his arms around me
"How do I know he wasn't  heating on me Jonah" I say
"You don't know that. But you now know that of he was. That picture saves you the pain of finding out in another way" he says
"I guess" I say "thank you jonah"
"Anytime Heaven" he says
"Jonah have you been through this before, you seem to know the answer to all my problems" I say
"My Ex girlfriend Amber cheated on me and I saw her kissing another guy in the park. I haven't dated anyone since" he says
"How do you know if your ready" I say
"You'll know when you find the right person" he says
I think I might have found the right person already.
