who do you think i am,
actually better yet what do you think i am.
an object,
to who you give a comment.
every girl who walks by,
has an encounter with the guy.
he gives her a number based on looks,
but he never realizes the risk he just took.
no one truly knows the meaning behind it,
they are all just simply blinded.
you don't know their story
they don't know yours
yet they still have the audacity to break down your door.
the one simple number runs through the girl's mind.
as she keeps on wondering,
why am i a five.
am i not good looking,
i should work on that.
they spend the rest of their lives changing,
just to empress.
we are not objects to rate,
we are not things, we communicate.
we have power and we will use it
to stop this nonsense before you defuse it
ratings.
a serious manner.
to which girls think,
do i really matter.

in my school there have recently been a group of boys rating girls. i have even heard some feeling worthless and doubting themselves because of it. if you are looked down on, don't listen because we are all unique in our own way. this might sound cheesy but this is so true and it occurs more frequently than we expect. we are not worthless, we matter. we are not objects, we are girls. we are women.
