-3 Weeks Later-

After a long three weeks in the hospital, it was time for me to go back home.

Fucking finally.

Let me just say that staying in a hospital for three weeks, in excruciating pain, isn't fun whatsoever. I missed my cozy bed, take out food, and just the homey atmosphere. Xander and Isaac showed up with some clothes for me to change into, since I'd been wearing a gown for my stay. They were supposed to go home a couple weeks ago, but with the whole incident, they decided to stay for a while longer.

I thanked my brothers, and was about to head into the bathroom to change, but there was a soft knock at the door. It opened soon after, and in walked Rocky. "Hey," he smiled at me. He gave Isaac a nod, and he reciprocated. Xander scowled at him, and Rocky awkwardly averted his eyes from his intense glare.

"What are you doing here?" Xander practically growled.

"I knew she was getting discharged today, so I thought I'd come by to check on her, see if she needs any help," he responded maturely. Props to him for keeping his cool. If someone was giving me attitude, I'd blow up with all these personality changes happening with my brain. Thanks, concussion.

"Well, we've got it covered. You can go now," Xander snapped. Rocky opened his mouth to reply, but I beat him to it.

"Xander, leave him the fuck alone. You don't have to like him, but respect him as my boyfriend."

"Whatever, Skylar," he mumbled, rolling his eyes. I scoffed at my immature brother and stood up with my clothes to go to the bathroom.

"Need any help, Sky?" Rocky asked as I opened the door to the bathroom.

"You're disgusting," Xander growled at him once again, totally getting the wrong idea.

"Dude, just drop it. Be lucky someone cares about our baby sister as much as he does," Isaac piped in, trying to calm his aggravated twin.

"Besides, it's nothing he hasn't seen before," I smirked as I closed the door behind me, clearly pissing off my brother. I laughed to myself as I slowly, but surely, changed into a pair of leggings, a sweatshirt, and black converse. After a few minutes, I hobbled back out of the bathroom. The guys were weirdly quiet, since there was never a moment where Rocky and Xander weren't fighting.

"How you feeling?" Rocky asked as I slowly made my way back to the bed.

"Like shit," I breathed out, setting myself on the bed to take a break. "But, hey, you're still here. So, I don't care."

"What'd I do to deserve you?" he smiled.

"Bleh," Xander muttered like a toddler watching their parents kiss.

"I swear, I'm gonna kill you!" I raised my voice, not being able to control my reactions.

"You seriously need to know when to shut up," Isaac rolled his eyes as he smacked Xander upside the head. "Let them have their moment."

"Why are you always on her side?" Xander whined, rubbing the back of his head.

"Because she's normally always right. You need a damn filter, little brother," Isaac replied, making Rocky and I snicker.

"Damn right. Now, can we please get out of here?" I moaned in impatience.

"Yea, that sounds like a good idea. You gonna be ok to walk to the car, babe?" Rocky asked.

"I should be," I replied as I stood up a little too fast. The sudden movement summoned a sharp pain in my ribs, making it harder to breath. I clutched my chest, taking shallow breaths to ensure minimal movement.

"I'll take that as a no," Rocky mumbled as he walked to my side. He stood with his back to me and croutched down. "Get on." I followed his orders and situated myself on his back. The three guys walked out of the room and to the recpetion desk, while I nestled my nose into Rocky's neck. His woodsy cologne calmed me, as it had always managed to. In no time, I was checked out of the hospital, and we were crossing the parking lot to Rocky's car.

"We're parked on the other side. We'll meet you guys at the house," Isaac called as Xander followed him to his car. Rocky responded, but I was too busy basking in his presence, and his cologne, to actually pay attention. Lately, the only times that I was comfortable was when Rocky was around. I would forget about the throbbing pain in my head, chest, and abdomen. It was just the two of us, and I was content until visiting hours came to a close.

Rocky gently let me down, opening the car door for me. Once I was settled in, he closed the door and made his way around to the driver's side. He wordlessly climbed in and inserted the key into the ignition. The car sprung to life, and we were off. I stared out the window in silence as I normally did in the car. I watched the smeared images of palm trees, pedestrians, and buildings. I was snapped back into reality by the feeling of a warm hand intertwining with mine. "I'm really glad you're out of there, Sky," Rocky muttered to where I could barely hear him over the hum of the engine.

"Me too," I whispered as I squeezed his hand. His thumb gently caressed my knuckles as he kept his eyes on the road. I brought his hand up to my lips, lightly kissing it on impulse. "I love you, Rocky."

"I love you, too, Skylar," he smiled, cathing a glimpse of me before giving the road his attention once again.

After our little moment, we were back to the comfortable silence, and I returned my attention to the window. Rocky's large hand still remained in mine, the bouqet of fingers sitting atop my thigh.

The time went by pretty fast, and I was suprised to see that we'd parked in the driveway. Rocky turned the car off, while I attempted to get out. He came around to my side before I even realized he had gotten out of the car. "Oh, no you don't," he smiled as he lifted me, bridal style, out of my seat. I giggled at his antics, not even caring about the slight pain in my chest. He brought me inside and sat on the couch, with me still in his lap. Instinctively, my head rested on his shoulder. A small kiss was planted onto the top of my head, the corner of my lips tugging up into a smile.

"I believe when I woke up, you told me I could hold you as long as my heart desired," I brought up.

"Yes, and my offer still stands," he smiled back.

"In that case, you're never leaving," I laughed. "You owe me six months worth of cuddles."

"I will spend the rest of my life repaying that debt," he said quite seriously, looking into my eyes.

"You're not kidding, are you?"

"Not at all." His words brought tears to my eyes, and before I could control myself, I was a blubbering mess. Even without a brain injury, I probably still would've cried. He pretty much just told me he would be here for the rest of our lives. "Hey, stop crying," he cooed, running his fingers through my hair.

"I'm sorry. My emotions are fucked up," I sniffled, burying my face into his neck.

"I get it," he slightly chuckled. His hand gently stroked through my hair, tempting me to fall asleep right then and there. My eyes stayed closed as my nose was nestled in the crook of his neck. And just like that, I was out like a light.

(A/N If any of you wanted to know, this chapter was exactly 1300 words long😂 Sorry for the wait between chapters. I've been busy lately with school, trying to find a job, and I'm now designing t-shirts for a company. I'll try to write more often, but I can't make any promises. I'll see you guys in the next chapter✌🏻️❤️
