Chapter 5

Jennie walked into school. The hallway was filled with students as usual. Jennie looked around for her friends but could not find them anywhere. She decided to just proceed to her first class.

She shared the same first class as Jisoo. She chose a seat at the back of the classroom and plopped down, sighing.

Jennie did not feel that happy that day for some unknown reason.

The chair at beside her pulled open.

"Oh hi! Your..." Jennie started but when she looked up, she didn't see Jisoo as she expected. Instead, it was Jaebum. He sat down comfortably while Jennie looked at him, annoyed.

That seat was suppose to be reserved for her best friend.

"So. I'm sure you heard about Mark asking Rosé to the dance," Jaebum started. "Would you accept if I asked you?"

Jennie stopped for a moment.

Her heart was definitely saying yes.

"Yes. But only because I don't want anyone to feel rejected," Jennie stated.

Jaebum smirked.

Yeah right.
