"Dad-" Nate begun but I couldn't take anymore of this.
"I... I'm going to go. I'm sorry," I mumbled, dropping my gaze from the man who'd raised me, a man who now so obviously despised my existence.
"Don't leave like this, I'll talk to him."
Shaking my head, I pulled away from my brothers protective embrace, his hold on my hand keeping me from fleeing.
"I just need some time, Nate."
As soon as Nate released my hand, I fled to my car, unable to push back the hot, burning tears that clouded my vision. It wasn't until I made it into my car and closed the door that I let the emotions that welled up inside of me take hold, wracking my body in sobs that came straight from my surely, breaking heart.
I know this one was hella short, but it's just a prelude to what's coming next, loves.
