I walked outside. We hadn't played baseball in a while. It's time to finally find out...who is the best player? Angela Parker? Or Benny Rodriguez?
"Benny!" I called, running up to him on the Sandlot.
"Oh, hey, Angel!" He turned around, smiling.
He offered a hug, but I turned it down.
Ham walked over. "You ok?"
I smirked. "It's time to find out, Benny."
Benny squinted. "Find out what?"
"Are you pregnant?!" Smalls screamed, following by the laughter of the other guys.
"No!"I laughed back. "I'm not. It's time to find out who's the best player."
The guys looked of confused.
"She means..."a voice behind me began. It was Will. "That she was the best baseball player in her town. The legend. Benny's the baseball legend in this town. She wants to find out who really is the best. There can only be one."
I smiled. "Yup."
Benny shook his head. "Ang, no."
"I said were doing it. Whether you like it or not. Get ready."
I ran over to the home plate and grabbed the bat.
