The man saw the two kids and stopped and so did the dog. "Hey! Are you two okay? " He kneeled down to get at their height. "Jesus, you two look hungry" He said in concern. The dog walked up to one of the children and sniffed him. "W-We are. " One of the children said. He sounded weak. The child that the dog was standing in front of looked scared. The child was scared of dogs. "What are your names? " The man asked. "M-My name i-is Leo" Leo pointed at himself. "and this is Timmy. " He then pointed at Timmy.
The dog sat down in front of Tim. The man saw that Tim was scared. "It's ok, she won't hurt ya." He told Tim. Tim slowly reached out to pet the dog. His hand was shaking. The dog put her head under Tim's hand. Tim stopped shaking. He felt a little happy. "My name is mark and this is my dog, Chica. It's nice to meet you both. " Mark said with a smile. "Come with me and we'll find something to eat" Mark picked Tim up. "Jesus, you're freezing!" Mark said.
He wrapped Chica's leash around his wrist and held out his hand for Leo to hold. Leo held marks hand. "C'mon Chica! " Mark called for Chica. Chica stood up and started walking with them to Mark's house.
