Nicole

I was at home with my friend candy. Were cooking sense I decided to have John over for dinner.

August said he had to work and would be over somtime tomorrow.

"Candy turn this song up and lets dance" I smirked

She turned it up and she broke her nail while twerking.

Me and Candy smirked before twerking again. "Nikki yo man callin." Candy pointed out my ringing phone with a smirk.

"Who John?" I rushed over to the phone only to see August name flash across the screen. I smacked my lips at Candy and answered.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hella?"

"What's up?"

I played with my fingers while waiting for him to answer.

"Ya don' sound to happy ta hear from me babey." He chuckled a bit.

"I am! I was just expecting someone else." I mumbled the last part.

"Lik' who?" August asked in all seriousness.

Candy mouthed ' Be honest ' to me. I sighed uncomfortably.

"Uh, John actually." I tried to chuckle off.

There was a long silence. I cleared my throat.

"Oh, das' - das' wassup Bubba. What cha'all got planned?"

He mumbled a bit.

"Nothing serious, I'm cooking and he's stopping by." I said while playin with my fingers.

It was silent once again.

"I'll talk ta ya later Bubba." He said before hanging up.

"Damn that was so uncomfortable." Candy said.

I sighed before taking my hand down my face.

"Don't stress girl, you go get ready and I'll finish up down here. I sorta smiled.

"Are you sure?"

"Do you think I'd offer if I wasn't?" We both laughed.

"Okay."

August

I called off of work and decided to stop by on this dinner date.

Seeing it was bout' seven, I made sho' I looked ma best befo' spraying myself wit' the cologne Nikki loved. I grabbed my keys and left out.

Pullin' up I seen two cars out front

Me and John were just enjoying each others company.  Someone knocked on my door and confused because I wasn't expecting anyone I excused myself.
