BLONDE CURLS FLEW IN THE WIND AS NELA RAN TOWARDS THESDA'S VOICE. Whatever her second was facing, it was wise not to respond vocally. Thesda had called twice more before Nela managed to reach her, the leaves and grass refusing to make any noise under her precisely placed feet. She slowed down to a careful walk as her second's voice neared.

"Don't come any closer!" Thesda threatened, speaking in english. Her voice was shaky as she spoke.

"Jesus! I'm not coming any closer!" A boy's voice responded, fear and anger mixed together in his tone. "Please, I'm begging you, please just let me go. I won't harm you, I won't tell anyone I saw you. Please just let me go."

Nela continued to walk towards the loudening voices, spotting two figures among the trees. She quickly darted behind a thick trunk, peeking a grey eye out to study to two figures. One was Thesda, who stood shorter than the boy in front of her. He had long, greasy black hair that framed a pale face and dark eyes that seemed to hold nothing but wilderness and fear.

"I can't. You're from the sky, I can tell from your clothes." the younger blonde spoke again, and Nela saw her sword pointed at the boy.

Before the sky boy could say anything else, Nela stepped from the trees and revealed herself to the pair. Thesda saw her first, her eyes filling with immediate relief. The boy saw her second and raised his hands even higher than they had previously been. His eyes widened, seeing the spear in the blonde's dominant left hand. They trailed from the spear to Nela, who felt like she loomed over him.

"Sky boy," she spoke in English, the language almost feeling weird on her tongue. "What's your name?"

"John," he replied, leaving his hands high in the air. "But everyone calls me Murphy."

Nela cast a glance in Thesda's direction. This would be a moment to prove herself and her confidence. Nobody would question her anymore if she brought back a sky person. "Murphy. A little bit far from home, no?"

"I was banished." the bitterness in his voice surprised the warrior but did nothing to pull her heartstrings. "They kicked me out."

The blonde pouted in mock sympathy, beginning to circle Murphy curiously. Eyeing him up and down, sizing him up like she would attack him. She might've if she was alone, but she wasn't. She had her second. "You're on our land, Murphy. It's time you and your people learned a little lesson about trespassing."

Once behind the boy, her grey eyes looked at Thesda. "Jomp op." She commanded, stepping back from the boy.

Her second sprung into action, newfound confidence appearing seemingly out of nowhere. Just minutes ago, her voice shook as she spoke to the boy, but now the younger warrior was fighting like a seasoned leader. Murphy put up as good of a fight as he could, dodging her first strike like he'd been in a sword fight before.

Nela held her spear, leaning against a tree as Thesda slashed and swung her silver weapon, slicing the boy more than a couple of times. Murphy had cried out in pain, but he refused to go down. He kept coming back for more and more, no matter how many times he was cut with the sharp blade.

"Smak em daun." Nela called gruffly, pushing herself off the tree and hoisting up her spear. She got ready to spear the sky boy if Thesda couldn't bring him down.

Thesda let out a frustrated cry, charging towards Murphy. He got prepared to take another swing of the sword, but instead the blonde dropped her sword and tackled him, wrapping her arms around his waist and bringing him down into the dirt. She straddled his waist, blonde hair falling into the boy's face as she landed a punch on his face.

When he stopped struggling, Thesda let out another frustrated sigh. She panted, looking up at Nela for approval. "He's not dead, just knocked out."

The older girl's lips grew into a proud smile as she looked down at her second. "You did very well, Thesda." she told her, approaching the boy's body. "Pick him up and bring him to the village. We'll bring him to Oden."

oden's in the next chapter and like i like him but i like salem more but salem's not even in the book until later fdsafjdksaf and okay: so ENGLISH is in italics when the trikru warriors are speaking, because uh the whole story otherwise is spoken in trig, but i didn't italicize murphy's part IDK I'M JUST CONFUSING. ALSO i used a lot of trig in this chapter so here are some brief translations:

Jomp Op — Attack.

Smak Em Daun — Smack him down.
