Four years later (they are now twelve)

As the years progressed, Lucia had moved in with Luke Skywalker. She was stronger than Ben which terrified him even more. He had Leia and Han keep a close eye on her as well considering she spent most of her time with Ben, like currently.

The duo played by the river with sticks acting like they were fighting with lightsabers. Lucia giggled at Ben before swinging her stick at his head. He quickly blocked it before hitting her wrist and knocking her stick out of her hand.

"Ha! I won!" Ben cheered seeing her smirk way too late. "Wait! Lucia don't!" he called out but it was too late. The red energy flew from her hands hitting him in the ankle which promptly knocked him over.

Lucia giggled before running up to her friend extending her small hand to help him up. "I never lose, Ben. You always forget about the force," she reminded him with a soft smile. The duo was the same age, but Ben was a few inches taller than her making her tilt her head back to look at him.

He grumbled. "Whatever, you are still my best friend," he reminded her before putting his arm over her shoulder. She rested her head on his arm considering she wasn't tall enough for his shoulder yet.

Lucia couldn't help but close her eyes and take in the moment. This is what she loved since she had come here. Spending time with Ben. He has been there for her since that night she watched her father being brutally murdered.

"Ben, please don't leave me," she whispered in the air. It was just loud enough for the black haired boy to hear. He looked down and smiled at her.

"Never."

Lucia's heart fluttered. It felt like when she was seven and met that boy in school. He called her beautiful and her heart acted the same way, though when Ben says something it wasn't just her heart. It was her whole body.

When Ben says or does something to show Lucia she was beautiful or deserved the world her whole body goes up in flames. It is as if her whole nervous system is on hyperdrive. It has been this way since she a half of a year since she moved there. She thinks she knows what it is, but she doesn't want to admit it.

For now, it was just a crush that will never be anything more.

"Ben! Lucia!" the duo looked to see Luke Skywalker approaching them. He couldn't help but eye how their hands were intertwined. The couple didn't even realize that their hands had found one another. "I have come with good news, we leave for the temple in a week."

Lucia screamed in happiness before hugging a smiling Ben. "Thank you, Master Luke," she said bowing once she composed herself. Luke couldn't help the smile that forced its way upon his face. The force was strong inside of her, but so was goodness and purity.

Once he walked away from the duo, he realized that his first lesson needs to be on why the Jedi cannot love. Because as he paused and looked behind him, he could tell the two of them were slowly falling in love. Or were already in love.

"You and I are going to be the best Jedi's in that temple!" Ben yelled making Lucia laugh before picking up their sticks again. "Oh, I am so winning this time." His grin never stopped as the two of them fake fought for another few hours.

After dinner, the two of them ran back outside to stare at the night sky. Ben couldn't help but watch Lucia take in the night air. He couldn't pinpoint the feeling he felt inside when he looked at her. It was like his mind went blank and all he wanted to do in life was make her happy.

And he was twelve.

Panic consumed him. He was young and shouldn't be thinking like this, but with one look at Lucia, his panic disappeared. "Lucia, I made you something," he told her before reaching into his pocket. "It is a little crappy, but it is to always remind you that even if I am not here, I am with you," he told her giving her the ring he made out of scrap metal.

Lucia started crying at the ring she took from him. Ben started to panic thinking that he had upset her in some way, but when he saw that beautiful smile it disappeared. "No one has thought to do something so nice for me since my father passed. Thank you, Ben," she told him slipping the ring onto her finger. She didn't think that it was crappy. She thought it was beautiful.

"This is funny because I made you this necklace for the same reason," she told him reaching into her own pocket to give him a string necklace with a blue crystal shaped like a tear. He laughed but put it on tucking it underneath his shirt. Lucia wasn't offended by his actions. Instead, the two of them lied down in the grass with small smiles gracing their faces.

Their hands found each other again as the lied there forgetting about everything in the world. All their problems were gone as they soaked up the moonlight like they always have since that night he comforted her.

Ben tilted his head to look at the peaceful look on Lucia's face. He decided then and there that he would do anything to make sure that look never leaves her face. He refused to let anyway take away that light behind her eyes.

Though, he didn't know that one day, he'd be the one stealing that light.
