🐞  E L I Z A  🐞

I was waiting patiently for Eric to arrive, I already had a shower and got dressed, deciding to wear a simple blue dress and tights coupled with a pair of nice shoes, for some reason I wanted to feel a little pretty.

After spraying some perfume, (who wants to smell bad, am I right or am I right lad) I grabbed my phone and purse before sitting down and twiddling with my thumbs.

Honestly speaking I wasn't nervous, maybe I should be. But I was only meeting Eric. Wait what if I gave my address to a potential psycho, he did ask me to bury his dead 'cat'. What if that was a cover up. It's not like he knew it was me though, he thought I was his friend- can't remember his name. No I'm pretty sure my brain is making up crazy scenarios to make me feel nervous; or I'm actually thinking properly for once.

Shaking the thoughts aside, I turned the tv on and went on Netflix, I decided to watch an episode of some kids show because that's how bored I am. I was mid-way through the third episode, when the doorbell rang.

Turning the tv off, I looked outside the window. From what I could tell it was a man, who had dark hair, I couldn't really see his face properly, but he had brown skin. Like an olive brown or something.

I went to grab my phone, coat and purse, as well as the house keys and walked to the door. Taking a deep breath I put on my coat on before unlocking the door.

"Hi" the man in front of me spoke, I mean it might not have been Eric

I recognised the voice though so I know that the man standing in front of me was indeed Eric.

"Eric... right" I asked just for confirmation, I couldn't help but mentally face palm myself at how awkward it sounded

"Eliza right" he answered smoothly with a cute smile, a small dimple showing

"No ladybird huh, I'm kind of sad" I pout

Eric chuckles

"Sorry Ladybird"

I come out of the house and lock the door behind me.

"If I may take your hand..." Eric says putting his hand out towards me

I smiled a little and put my hand in his. I wasn't sure why I felt like trusting him even though we just met.

"By the way you're really pretty" he compliments as we began walking away from my house

"You're not bad yourself"

"Not bad, Hmm I thought I was drop dead gorgeous"

"Honey don't get ahead of yourself" I joked to which he pouts slightly at

There's silence for a few moments before he speaks again.

"Ladybird... isn't it weird that we are actually meeting"

"A bit"

"I mean this wouldn't be happening if I hadn't mucked up my friends number"

"That's true... do you believe in things like fate, I know that's random but now I'm kind of curious"

"Maybe this was fate"
