•the boys don't do much during new year's
•they simply stay up all night up in jack's penthouse
•which is like...the one time he let's them up
•it doesn't get crowded until the last 5 minutes of the new year but he allows them all night
•fortunately for you, they invite their favorite buyer to celebrate with them!
•you were quite flattered when the newsboy you had a crush shyly invited to the lodge
•you said yes of course i mean how could you say no to that face?
•he blushed a deep red when you responded so enthusiasticly because he thought you had better plans then to just hang out with him
•after saying goodbye to you and finishing his sales, he rushed back to the lodge to change into his "formal clothes"
•they were just cleanly shirt and pants w/ no rips but they were his pride and joy and wanted to impress you
•the rest of the boys teased him ENDLESSLY until you arrived
•even then they teased the both of you
•the two of you couldn't stop blushing you were matching tomatoes
•you arrived around 9, after your shift, and brought a surprise you weren't sure you were gonna regret or not
•the boys all hugged you with smiling faces, even your favorite newsie
•you gave a small kiss on the cheek and waltz further into the lodge as he stood star struck, holding onto the cheek you just pecked
•you and the newsies played game for a couple hours while you and a couple of the boys' s/o had to calm them down
•finally, it was almost midnight!
•you decided to give the boys their gifts and took out the bag you brought
•inside were dozens of fireworks
•the sparkler kind, as much as you loved the boys you don't trust them with anything explosive
•the boys lit up (ba dum ass) and thanked you a million times
•with one minute left in 1899, the boys grabbed their s/o while you stayed in the corner watching with a sad smile
•a certain newsie saw you alone in the corner and took a deep breath
FIVE he started walking over to you FOUR he touched your shoulder THREE you locked eyes TWO he saw you steal a glance at his lips ONE he leaned in HAPPY NEW YEAR🎉 •as the two of you kissed, you heard the rest of the party cheering
•thinking it was just for the new year, the two of you ignored them
•that was until you pulled apart
•"congrats to the newly weds" one of the boys screamed as he lit up the sparkler
•the two of blushed and laughed as the rest of the boys shouted the same and dance around with the fireworks
•you looked back in each other eyes, ready to take whatever 1900 was going to throw at the two of you
