The message appeared on her screen as always, asking whether or not she wanted to accept the video chat request. She of course tapped "Accept".

When Aaron's face appeared on the screen, Nora gave her a small smile.

"Hey Aaron."

"Hey, Nora."

Nora's smile dropped a little at Aaron's tone. She didn't sound herself.

"Is something wrong Aaron?

"Are we still friends?"

The question surprised Nora. Was she really still hung up on what happened yesterday?

"Of course!" Nora replied. "Why?"

Aaron leaned back into her seat, looking to the side for a few moments before sitting up straight and sighing.

"I need to tell you something," Aaron answered. "-And I'm just worried you'll hate me for it."

"Aaron, whatever it is you need to tell me won't make me hate you. Now what is it?"

Aaron stared at Nora, waiting for a few seconds before speaking again,

"Nora?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you."
