"Welcome home Lily" I said as I opened the front door

"Your home is .... beautiful" she said looking around till her eyes landed on a vase with some flowers in it

"Omg. They are so beautiful, what kind are they?" She asked as she smelled the flowers.

"I don't know, they are-" I was saying when grandma appeared from nowhere

"They are orchids, you love flowers? "

"Amummmm... I do, I actually try to learn as much as I can about them" Lily replied moving a little away from the vase

"Lily" I called grabbing her attention "this is grandma, grandma this is Lily"
"Nice to meet you, Lily"

"You too"

"So what are you studying?" My grandma asked

"Journalism"

"Me too" I exclaimed

"Really? that's amazing!"

"Oh yeah, let's get your book." I smiled motioned for her to follow me.
When we reached my room, I went straight to the bookshelf to get her the novel

"So... you live alone with your grandma?" Lily asked as she sat on my bed

"And grandpa" I went to grab a chair to stand on

"Me too, I live with my grandparents, my parents are in England working, what about yours?"

"Well, unlike you, I have a greedy mother who married a man for his money after she and dad divorced. Dad disappeared to wherever, never talked to me again, either he died or he also married and have children now" I answered trying to reach the top of the shelf.

Who the hell make a bookshelf taller than him?!

You

"Why did they divorced?"

"Well, I actually don't know I was two years old. Mom said Dad was cheating on her, grandma said it was a marriage build on lust and lust made them fall.

My Dad's friend told me that dad loved my mom so much, but he was ... poor. He tried to bring everything to her when he didn't even have enough money. Mom always wanted to be .... noticeable among everyone, especially her friends. She couldn't bear that her friends had two houses, wore jewellery, has a car and travelling. So she demanded divorce, and dad couldn't refuse anything to her so he accepted" I finally reached the book, I put the chair back to it's place and went to sit beside her.

"And which one do you believe?" She looked at me in the eyes

"Well, I honestly don't know"

"How is that?"

"I think that everyone is right, if dad left without thinking about calling or texting me, then he might have been really cheating on mom, but mom was also cheating on him, I know it. Also, grandma doesn't lie. And she is right, there is no relationship built on lust survive . And I also think dad's friend is kinda right, because mom care about money more than herself" I smiled a little
