The Yesterday and Today

What happened to

That cold bitter

Wind

Where are the stars

Where have they gone

Don't you see

How bitter

This has all become

Maybe a dose of water

Will stop that blubbering

Splutter

From high above

Maybe the touch of her soft plump lips

Will unravel you

To the deepest pit

What happened to that freedom

That shone, so ever bright

Like a  distant candle

Not yet burned

But still intact

Waiting for its tomorrow

In its sunken depth

Oh, the envy you may feel

For a light as such

Will burn down your embers

Of hearty steel

Children will sing

Their minds will reel

Their hearts shall shatter

To that disembroiled

Unhealthy lurk

Oh, the mud will rain down

Its mighty fury

Full of anguish, for those days

Yet forgotten

Yet never to return

To its infamous glory

When shall we learn

With all our hearts blessed content

Steel can not fix death

Just as death can not fix steel

Men can ruin, And men can rule

With that god almighty

Iron fist
