another thing about quotation marks

So if you are writing a quote that stands alone (no "he said" or whatever afterwards) then end it with a period. (or a question mark/exclamation mark. never a comma though.)For example:

"I hate tea and biscuits."

or

She thought for a while and said, "I hate tea and biscuits!"

when there's a quote with "he said" or whatever after it, you need to end it with a comma INSIDE the quotes

for example:

"Why? I love tea and biscuits," he replied.

but if there is a question mark or exclamation mark, do not ad a comma:

"Why? I love tea and biscuits!" he said.
