if youre writing a romance ya gotta do it write. (im editing this now and i cant believe i didnt see the typo that is ACCIDENTALLY A PUN kill me but im leaving it there anyway) this is coming from a sad little fucker who has never dated anyone but imma tell you what you should do anyway.
dont make people date so fast?? its like hon thats not how it wORKS. like people dont just go "lol ur cute" and then start making out. like no. (maybe im biased toward slow burn romance BUT just be realistic)
another thing is how dramatic people are when the characters say "i love you". people always make such a big deal about it, but its not that big of a deal? i mean maybe to some people but for the most part, not really. especially if the people who were already friends before dating- another thing that should be encouraged, a lot of people date their friends and theres a lot less drama involved, too
idk give them lives other than their romance? its gotta be balanced or else its boring!
give them struggles! bumps in the road! it doesnt have to be the typical jealousy fight, either, just make sure theres PLOT uwu
