The daily battle between the flesh and the spirit
It's up to you if you want to hear it
The Lord shows us everything, he should
The flesh wants all against the spirit, which is suppose to be for good
Your spirit is infinite but your flesh doesn't last forever
For the flesh is a bottomless pit and bare
The spirit is damaged if you don't give it love and care
Because you have allowed jealously, fear, lust and many more to enter your spirit
For it is the enemies biggest gimmick
Have your heard the saying "you are what you eat"?
Same for your spirit, what you consume in you mind, body and will, is the food to your spirit you give.
Your flesh want the things of this world
Which is despised by the Lord
For I tell you, never overestimate your flesh
It has the strongest hold it can possibly get
It blocks the purpose of the Holy Spirit
The spirit Jesus has put inside us
It's his guidance and the light that we can all trust
From the start
Some have allowed bad things in their heart
Making it hard for them to hear the his voice
But please remember he gave us the power of choice
Come to him, ask for a clean spirit and heart
For he will always give us a new start
Blessed of a heart that is not tart
