i find the genre of creature inheritance fan fiction to be genuinely fascinating, because no matter how much i search, it seems exclusive to harry potter.

there's so much detail that is pretty consistent through all of the stories I've read, and no sources i've found provide straightforward, clear information. meaning that every person who has written a creature inheritance fic has read probably exactly the same ones and though 'hey that sounds fucking cool imma hop on that'.

theres this ridiculous amount of information exclusive to this oddball subgenre, like creature inheritances and creatures and abilities, et cetera. for something so weird and unusual its really consistent.

also just the concept of it is literally a dream of mine since i was a kid, being able to turn into a fuckin animal and sprout wings and have enhanced senses and shit idk man its just cool

and the style of writing often exhibited in these weird books are as far as I've seen unique to the subgenre. i don't know what makes it different but it feels very separate from other fan fiction.

the fact that it's all harry potter is so weird to me like ?? would you not want to read about some regular boring ass kid suddenly finding out they're half phoenix and suddenly woh i can fly!! i don't know abt u but that sounds wonderful

look, i don't know. I'm probably reading way far into this shit but i genuinely enjoy harry potter creature inheritance fan fiction just because its so different. its a refreshing break from the same shitty plotline over and over, simply because the concept is so flexible. its weirdly humbling to find this niche goldmine of originality in a sea of sickeningly repetitive dramione sex slave books being forced onto you by the algorithms on this website

of course you do frequently find harryxfredxgeorge dark!harry weasleybashing underage mpreg assassination abuse books but i prefer to ignore those ok

i just like the genre bc its cool
