Chapter 17

KIEFER'S POV

*knock knock*

"Come in." I said. I did not bother looking at who it was because I am busy piling up these files from our Car Deals.

"Hi."

I looked and saw it was Trinca, holding a folder. What was that for? Oh wait... I remember, those are stock reports. She walked calmly to the front of my table and placed the folder. "Ito na yung reports natin, pasensya na at ngayon lang naibigay, nagkasabay-sabay kasi yung ibang gawain namin." She said.

"Walang problema, salamat." I said and flashed a smile. She remained standing in front of me, I think she has something left to say... "May kailangan ka ba?" I asked nicely.

"Nothing, do you want to join me for lunch?" She asked.

"Wala naman problema sana kaso kasabay ko si Alyssa ngayon. Maybe next time." I answered. I noticed she was starting to frown... What is there to frown for? Did I say anything bad? "May nasabi ba ako?" I asked her again and she suddenly stopped frowning.

She quickly smiled and said, "Wala, may naisip lang." I just gave her a nod. "I'll go out, bye." She added and slowly went out of the office.

TRINCA'S POV

Damn it! Bad timing! I suddenly remembered that Alyssa is coming here in a moment. Why you do need to be so hard on me, Kiefer? Hindi hamak na mas maganda ako sa Asawa mong yan! Awful!

"What happened?" It was Von. I guess he saw my bad face--he did actually, I planted out my best smile to avoid questions.

"Wala, pagod lang kasi busy." I lied, he looked at me and smirked. He does not seem to believe, "Hindi ka ba naniniwala? Tingnan mo nga mukha mo, mas haggard ka na ata." I said and he laughed. I guess I'm right, he looks dead tired. "Alis ka na dyan, hindi ako makadaan." He gave me a space and then I passed by him.

"Hindi makadaan? Tayo nga lang dalawa dito, lutang ka Trinca." He was still laughing, I turned myself and raised an eyebrow. "Oo na, balik ka na dun sa opisina mo." He said and smiled then turned himself away from me.

If Kiefer is hard-to-get then I'll steal him in a hard but seductive way.

ALYSSA'S POV

Recently arrived at my next job, I thought having many jobs is actually tiring but I find it interesting. I don't know, maybe because I like to work? I'm a Mom, Hospital Worker, and even manage a Family business at the same time. If I am a different person, I would have complained a lot for working too much.

"Hi Ma'am Ravena!" They greeted me with a smile. You know what? When Kiefer's Dad placed me into this business, everyone was elated. Some said they are happy to see the Volleybelle finally joining hands with her Husband in this Company.

"Hello!" I replied while walking towards my office. Right when I sat, someone was knocking on the door. "Pasok!" I said and it opened, it was the Secretary.

"Ma'am, pinapasabi po ni Sir na sabay kayong kakain mamaya. Yun lang po." She informed.

"Thanks." I said then she went out again. I suddenly smiled, "Pati pagsabay namin dalawa kailangan ipaalala?" I murmured to myself and started doing my tasks.

Tambak 'to ah.

I thought while looking at my list.

AUTHOR'S POV

Alyssa and Kiefer went out to take lunch at the nearest foodchain they could find, they chose to eat at KFC. While eating, they were talking about random things and gossips. They acted like the same couple back in College, silly gestures, making faces, staring at people who are walking past by and putting jokes on them.

"Hon, tignan mo yung mataba dun... Mapapayuko na sa sobrang laki ng tiyan." Kiefer jokingly said while secretly staring at the fat man, Alyssa did the same and they both laughed.

Alyssa bit a part of the Chicken and looked again at the fat man, "Lumunok ng sampung Mikasa yan beh." She said while giggling. Kiefer suddenly smirked and planted a grin on his face, Alyssa lost her giggle and stared at him... "Bakit?" She asked curiously.

Kiefer suddenly laughed and said, "Beh? Ang baho naman nun." Them took a bite from the Burger. Alyssa raised an eyebrow and stuck out her toungue before sipping a Coke. "Cute mo bumelat." He said and smiled, he could see Alyssa starting to blush so he took a tissue and put it on her cheek. Alyssa widen her eyes and gave him the what-heck-are-you-doing stare but Kiefer just smiled at her. "Namumula kasi mukha mo, compliment lang naman." He said.

"Parang ikaw hindi." She said and continued eating what's left on her plate.

Unknown to them, Trinca is sitted at the far left corner and is staring madly at the two who are giggling while eating.

"Sulitin mo na ang masasayang araw dahil magiging akin na ang asawa mo." She murmured then grabbed a bit of Pancake.

Alyssa went home about an hour earlier than Kiefer. He saw Trinca standing outside and it seems that she was waiting for an open cab, he went near and pat her shoulder. Trinca turned and was surprised to see it was him, "Hindi ka pa umuwi?" She asked and smiled at him.

"Pauwi na, may tinapos pa kasi kaya natagalan." He said. Kiefer also looked at her back and noticed the cabs that were approaching are full. "Naghihintay ka ba ng Taxi?" He asked, Trinca nodded in dismay. "Sa nakikita ko, puno yung mga dumarating. Teka, asan ba kotse mo?"

"Pinaayos ko, nasira kasi yung engine kaya commute muna." She answered.

Kiefer scratched his head, "Hatid nalang kita, kung maghihintay ka pa dito malamang aabutin ka ng ilang oras. Mukhang pagod ka na rin." He said.

"No need, I can wait." She declined.

"Are you sure? The rain is about to start." He said while looking at the clouds.

"Fine, I'll show you the way to my home." She said.

While inside the car, Trinca asked... "Hindi ba magagalit si Alyssa? Wala sa itsura mo na humatid ng babae pwera nalang sa kung kabarkada niyo."

"Hindi, sinasabi ko naman kung sino, we don't keep secrets from each other. Ngayon lang naman, nakita kasi kita at mukhang ilang minutong naghihintay." Kiefer said while driving.

"I see." Trinca secretly smiled at him, it was a slightly evil smile. When she saw the village, she asked Kiefer to turn and showed him the way to her house. "Kaliwa tapos dun sa second-to-the-last na bahay, dun mo ako i-hinto." She instructed.

When they reached the destination, Trinca said thank you to him before going out of the car. When she stepped in front of the gate, she turned herself and waved good bye to Kiefer and he did the same. Trinca watched his car go away until it finally went out of her sight.

"Pag swinerte ka nga naman."
